Picked up a salad to go about an hour before closing. The cashier was friendly but the kitchen staff didn't take the time to cut some of the items to more reasonable chunks. Always enjoy the soft serve but it was too soft. I had my one cone and left. I've had much better offerings at other locations but will blame this experience on them trying to head out.
I just wanted to take a moment and thank Lucia and Victor, two employees of Jason's Deli in College Station, TX., for their helpfulness, kindness and having such servant's heart in helping me and my family out today during our lunch. Your attention to detail, quick service and a great attitude were greatly appreciated. And while I am specifically singling these two employees out because of my interaction with them, all of the employees just seemed to have a great attitude about the work they were doing and being helpful to each others and those they were serving!Thankful for your service!David CooperCollege Station, Texas
This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Apparently they have a new manager and I don’t think she has been trained on customer service, or maybe she doesn’t care. Based on some comments I have read, others have had the same experience. I don’t plan to return for a long time. Hopefully when I do they will have resolved their issues.UPDATE: I had lunch here last weekend and everything was much better! The staff were friendly and courteous. The food was good and fresh. I am glad they have resolved the issues I mentioned above. Looking forward to eating there again soon.
Brian and staff went above and beyond to make mine and my children's visit enjoyable. Offered explanation about gluten free options as well as vegetarian menu items.
Ordered a pastrami sandwich on rye with spicy mustard and chips. The worst rye bread I’ve ever eaten. The pastrami was tasteless and cold accompanied by a small child’s handful size of chips. I don’t expect it to be New York level of quality, but I’ll never go back to this place.
excellent customer service!!! my order ended up being short a couple of items and the team immediately crediting me back the menu price of the items *PLUS* the delivery fee. All companies make mistakes, it is refreshing for them to accept responsibility and strive to make it right.
Catering order disaster. My catering order arrived late, and the driver notified me that she’d be late around 5 minutes before the end of the 30minute window. I did not give her a hard time, even though I’m sure she noticed when she arrived that there was a crowd of people waiting of the food as she didn’t end up coming until 5 minutes after the end of the 30-minute delivery window. She was not pleasant during that interaction. I then noticed that 10/25 of our sandwiches, which were supposed to be vegetarian, were not. Meaning there was no food for vegetarian people eating from this catering order. I immediately called her, and she was extremely rude on the phone, asking if I actually needed the vegetarian meals and going as far as to say that if she brought me the 10 vegetarian sandwiches, she was going to have to remove 10 meat sandwiches from my sandwich tray. She then notified me that she wouldn’t even be able to get to it for 30 minutes. I’m not sure if she understands the concept of being vegetarian, but people who do not eat meat did not have a sandwich to eat because of this mix up. I then find out that whoever took my order the day before, did not indicate that there were supposed to be vegetarian meals with the order, despite me explicitly clarifying twice with her that we needed vegetarian options. The driver said that she was going to figure it out and then hung up. Then I get a call from a manager who indicates to me that they don’t even have the breading that is required for the vegetarian wraps, which again, is fine, but she not once apologized for what was happening and the unprofessionalism that her driver, and now her, were exhibiting. I got a second call and finally spoke with someone who did not sound like they were upset who re-took my payment as it somehow got lost in the shuffle. Finally I got the vegetarian meals (45 minutes after the 30-min delivery window). After the event, I called and asked to speak with a manager and again got ahold of the second person who had called me, Kayla (who was polite and reasonable) and she apologized on behalf of the store. This was a pretty horrible experience overall, 2 stars instead of one because the vegetarian meals did eventually come and because of Kayla.
Food was great as always, tons of smiling customers. The staff was super friendly; however, the GM clearly needs lessons in hospitality. We will not be returning.
Paid $18 for a salad bar and soup just for the employee to tell me that I wasn't allowed a second plate. I asked if the salad bar being one trip was a new policy and they just nodded and stared at me. I searched all over the Jason's website and can't find anything stating that the salad bar is 1 trip now. I also wasn't sure what food we should pick up at the end of the line and what we should wait for at our table, so I asked who seemed to have been the manager if I just take our number to our table and he responded as if I was bothering him by asking. When ordering, my friend asked what kind of bread they have and the employee just said I don't know, and didn't offer to ask or anything, just said "i don't know" and then stared at us. Food was very good but experience was lacking.
The cashier wouldn't even let me order a normal meal, after she and manager claimed that they don't take coupons. This place needs to train their staff.
