The food here is normally great. I don't know what happened today. I don't expect to come in at 5pm and get cold food. After the second serving, everything was still cold. My husband pointed it out to the manager... but he didn't want to accept the idea that the food was cold. Customers are sometimes right! I asked the waitress what was the manager's name, she told us, then went over to tell him, then he came to our table and asked my husband if he wanted to know his name...lol.
It was very clean great food and different varieties of food!
This was a very disappointing experience and frustrating as well. There was no one at the front desk and so you wait. They were busy filling in somewhere for sure. There was food all around the serving area on the floor. No one was cleaning it up until I asked someone to, and then it was only the specific area I had pointed out but not the rest of it. Our server was very attentive but also piled up the bus tray on a nearby table until it was full. Not a pleasant dining experience.I was hoping the usually enjoyable steak might perk things up, but, alas! It was not very tender and had an inordinate amount of gristle. I won't be back.
Ecoli. I got Ecoli after eating here. Worst time of my life and ended up in the er for dehydration. I didn't want to say anything but just a few weeks ago an acquaintance of mine went and ate here and also got Ecoli.
Took my one year old with my mom and husband. Staff was smitten by my baby it was sweet they did give my husband the senior discount..he is 40? made my day haha. Food is ok but it's nice everyone can try whatever they want. Thier meatloaf was on point tho
Since pandemic started, GC near our home closed permanently. Came to College Station for University tour,, son was thrilled to see GC near campus. Service was awesome, decor definitely changed in the 2 years we've been to one, great setup
We finally made it to GC after they had to make adjustments from the pandemic protocols. They've scaled back the options on the lines, but you can still find the true-time-favorites. The menu prices have been updated, too. The dining room is nicer, but the customers are still something to desired, at times! The servers are super nice! I needed a big meal for cheap and this was this first place I thought of, loved it! The staff are all very nice and the waitress was very diligent. My only complaint is that although the meats were well cooked, they'd all gone cold. Not so much that it was a problem though, I'll definitely be back!
It's gotten really good recently the buffet is surprisingly well rounded that all 5 of my family always finds something no matter what decent food and lots of it
