The new "steam" grill is awful. Chipotle is now the better "burrito" shop.Please bring back the flavor.
This place is always good. Ordered 2 freebies and 2 drinks. Fast and good. I just wish they had fresh limes for me to put on as I eat the bird down.
Food was not even okay. Burrito made my granddaughter sick. I had nachos and if you wanted enough cheese to cover the chips you had to pay more. Not worth the cost.
Good food and friendly staff. Prices keep going up (but that's like everything lately). The steak is usually tender and I love the tomatillo sauce! By the time I add queso and guac and add a little tip, it's over $15. Maybe it's just me but I think I get more bang for my buck getting the burrito bowl. I'm more likely to heat up leftovers too. A few less carbs. The music wasn't overly loud today. The late lunch crowd is more manageable for lunch especially when a lot of Aggies are gone for summer.
Stoped in for dinner today and while there was a lot of people in there I got through the line with no wait. The workers were really friendly and made the food fresh in front of me the way I wanted it. I got queso on my burrito and my wife got a huge bowl that the Manager Russell made with fresh steak literally right off the grill for us. Everyone is always so nice and quick to get us our stuff and they will happily bend over backwards for you. This place is actually pretty awesome. Thanks y’all.
I had a bad first experience here and I don't think I'll try Freebirds again. My burrito was very soggy and dripping with liquid, and I don't think they even heated up the tortilla. The flavor was very underwhelming, even with the mediocre hot sauce. The staff seemed disinterested and very sluggish taking my order, asking me questions and then immediately forgetting.
Out experience here was great. We we greet when we walked in, had questions that were answered knowledgeable, and asked recommendations. We had nachos for the 1st time and they were delicious!
The staff was polite and friendly as always and they made the food promptly. Definitely an experience I enjoy everytme I go there
Freebirds is consistently good for us. We go here as a fallback option when we can't make up our dang minds about where the heck to go for some cheap food. Their menu has changed slightly over the years, but I always just get the Freebirds chicken burrito with Spanish rice, grilled veggies, pinto beans, lettuce, pico, corn, and some sort of salsa. My wife always orders tortilla bowl with queso and chips. They have pretty good queso but even their large (pictured) is not very big. They also don't give a lot of chips, so it just goes down quickly for the price. That's why I tend to stick with the burritos which are always packed with food if you instruct the employees to do so. Oh, and I always load up their death sauce on every bite. It's actually not that hot but has some good flavors. Okay, mouth is watering right now just thinking about it.... LOL. Workers are generally nice, but not always. I'm sure we'll be back soon.
Always a good experience. I got nachos and loaded them up. Try the Freebirds Ranch sauce, it's good!
