Because of the quality and service, I was kind of disappointed to spend $20 per person. The cashier seemed to be annoyed that I was confused with the menu items because I received the silent treatment and blank stares. It was my family and I's first time there. When I got my burger the patties weren't even whole circles, they were in pieces and falling out of the burger. I didn't get the sauce I asked for and all the toppings were to one side of the burger. I ordered a large fry and my wife and son ordered a regular fry. Although we always share all our fries, we got the same amount of fries in the large fry as the regular fry. Some of the other employees had a better attitude and they did make the fries as requested, with no salt. Overall it was kind of a strange experience and really not worth $20/person.
This place is quite pricey but... They do have good burgers. Nice, hot, and freshly made, fresh ingredients. The fries, I promise off you get a regular it's large enough for three people to share. It was a nice experience.
I did an online order. Went to go pick up at the pick time as told to me through the email. I had to wait until everyone in the store got their food first( 15 minutes after the supposed pick up time) even though I was there before some of the customers. I did not get a cheeseburger and they put cheese on it, luckily one of the employees caught it just in time and took it off, even though we have issues with it being cooked with dairy on it ( the cook was cooking the meat patties with the cheese slices on them over the grill). This was a no go but I had my 2 yr old son and 11 yr old autistic daughter waiting for me and couldn't wait another 15 minutes for them to fix the order. This wasn't too big of a deal but if you cant do online orders than don't offer it. People in my situation with family members that have disabilities have to plan everything out to avoid aggravating their disabilities. I could have went anywhere in College Station and gotten a simple hamburger. I'll just sick with TX Burger in Wellborn, order is always correct, on time and the best burgers.
What a joke! $7 for a burger that was smaller than a McDonald's cheeseburger! Not exaggerating one bit! I would be embarrassed to serve that! WILL NOT EVER BE GOING BACK! SAVE YOUR MONEY! YOU'RE GETTING SCREWED BY THE GOVERNMENT, NO NEED TO LET 5 GUYS BANG YOU TOO!!!
Much an echo of most patrons of five guys anymore. The complaint isn’t the quality of the food, just the horrible value for money. 11.50 for just a bacon cheeseburger is more than anywhere else, and it’s just special enough to justify it. 5.75 for a regular fry used to get you a bag full, now it’s a kiddie cup with a couple tossed on top so they can claim they still fill the bag. Only redeeming thing keeping it from 2 stars is they are fast, and there’s minimal wait here compared to all the other food nearby.
We tried this place for the first time today. I'm not one to complain, I know how bad reviews can effect the lives of employees, but what we received wasn't worth anything near the $40 we paid for two meals and I hope that sharing can save others the experience we had. The customer service was good, but the fries were so dry they are comparable to cardboard or instant mashed potatoes, and didn't have nearly enough salt. Our orders were also missing several toppings. The burgers were average at best. I called to let them know we didn't enjoy any of our food, and the best they could do was offer us a free version of the same meal, which we had no interest in given our experience the first time... During the call the employee let me know that it's not in their protocol to season their burger patties with anything at all, which obviously contributes to the blandness. Maybe this is just a difference in how five guys prepares their food compared to what we are used to in Texas, but either way don't waste your money here, it was by all means the least enjoyable burger and fries I have ever had. Whataburger, fat shack, and honestly every other burger joint in town does way better than this.
Giving 2 stars, food was good, service was good. But the cost is off the charts. We ordered a small bacon cheese burger, regular bacon cheese burger, 1 regular fries, 2 med drinks. The drinks alone were $2.85 each. Cost was $33.00. I could have gone to a nicer place with more food options and still paid less than that. Food was good, but not that good. Won't be back...
Here's the thing, I'm not a burger guy. I generally never "crave" a burger. To me, all burgers are basically the same anywhere you go.EXCEPT... this place is amazing. They're a little on the pricier side, but they are so worth it. Their burgers are full of amazing flavor. I got mine without the bun (lettuce wrap) and it was disgustingly amazing. The juices were everywhere (due to the bun not soaking it in), running down my hands and arms, all over my face. It was amazing and delicious. From now on, this is the burger I want when my wife says she wants burgers.
I am a big proponent of five guys. I think their prices are a little higher than average but you can’t pass up the quality and the flavor they offer. They have really friendly service here plus it’s clean and has outdoor seating!! If you’re looking for a delicious burger I totally recommend here.
Save your time and money!! Hot dogs are cheaper and way better at Sam's deli ($1.50 for dog n drink vs ridiculous $6 for a really bad one at 5 guys) and omg do not get a $6 grilled cheese ?. Seriously don't go there. Staff are not even friendly. Bad customer service bc there is NONE. Overall I wouldn't even give it 1 star out of 5. This one time, never to return to again experience cost us $27. NOT WORTH EVEN $10!! Should've read reviews here b4 wasting our time/money. Overpriced is understatement!
