Tristan and staff are the friendliest hosts I've ever encountered
Been sitting at a table for 15 minutes and numerous waitstaff just awkwardly pass us without a word to see if anyone has helped us. Complete drum show with clueless staff. Other Patrons are left at the doorway waiting for some form of service. Majority of these reviews for the Canteen are inaccurate.
Love the canteen, only complaint is some of the staff (bar) could be more personable and table service a little more often. Food was excellent and the breakfast staff were top notch.
Grabbed dinner at The Canteen, the food was great and our waiter Victor was very accommodating. Definitely worth while when in College Station.

Group working tonight, Bennett, Barbara and Victor, wow! They were attentive to our table and the service was great for the busy Thursday business travelers and the locals that were in the restaurant. Food menu was a great selection and it mimicked the idea and flow you’d expect from the style of restaurant they were painting for each guest. Definitely a good spot for drinks and food with colleagues.
The food is so good, especially the Mac and cheese!! Have been there many times and Victor, Bennett, and Barbara have always taken such great care of us!! Highly recommend!!
Great environment. Live music two nights while we were there. This is a much more upscale area of University Avenue than further down by the Dixie Chicken. More of an "adult" vibe than a college dive-bar. There is an associated hotel right next door that I will be investigating for my next stay in College Station as it has a military theme that got my attention.

plays live music too loud that can be heard in residential areas till 1am
