We have been ordering foods from Abu Omer for the past 4 years but never was the portion size this small. We ordered two salad over rice tonight, and this is what we got. The person in the truck was very rude and didn't let me cancel the order. Very disappointed by the portion size and behavior of the person in the truck.
Omg. The food is so delicious. Beef meat so tender. Very flavorful. Will order again. Owner was very friendly. Some of my meet was cold tho. Couldn’t finish it.
I eat here all the time, it's the perfect place to grab a quick lunch during work or for a late night snack after a few drinks. I went there at a slow time and the owner was happy to talk about the history and culture behind the cuisine, which definitely gave me a deeper appreciation of the food. The portions are decently sized too, I almost always end up with leftovers.
I just ate here for the first time and it was amazing!! I had a double with half chicken and half beef and it's definitely enough food for me to make at least 3 meals out of.. The meat is melt in your mouth tender and has really good flavor. Will definitely be enjoying this place more often
My four years in college station were wonderful and one of the best things about it was this food truck. I would always go with my friends or during stressful times. After graduating and starting my new journey I went to them one last time and they remembered my order. They treated me with the best care and wished me the best of luck. I highly recommend them :)
Good place in a good location for a lot of students. I usually get the gyro with fries, which is my favorite thing from the menu and does well to fill you up. Great if you live near Northgate and need to grab a bite.
Continuous decline in quality. Rice is often barely cooked and the meat is very salty. I thought it is a one off thing. But I noticed it happen more than twice in the last few times I tried something here. Don’t recommend.
Their quality is inconsistent, sometime is as good as their Houston trucks and other times I wish I picked any other place. They rarely have beef shawarma but it's always available on the menu so don't get surprised to get a gyro when ordering online. Their Kibbie is sooo good but it's ridiculously overpriced.
The Abu Omar food truck is one of my all time favorite spots in College Station. The food is always super fresh, consistent and they're usually open pretty late. The employees are super friendly and the truck is right on North Gate, which makes it perfect after a night out.
Probably the best Mediterranean place in town. Their Chicken shawarma with spicy sauce and the beef shawarma with tahini are the best! The staff are always welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend Abu Omar Halal for some delicious and filling meals!
