Amazing BBQ, great sides and service! Not your typical run of the mill bbq, it’s special for sure! Make a trip over and your tastebuds will thank you!
I’ve heard many great things about this place so a friend and I decided to check it out today for lunch! Super cute little food truck style dining with tables/umbrellas. The BBQ was incredible! I had the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket, a side of the sweet cream corn and the brisket Mac n cheese. Really delicious! The owner was friendly and obviously a pit/grill master! Can’t wait to go back!
They have the absolute most delicious brisket and ribs that we’ve ever eaten!! The sides were delicious also. Don’t come to College Station without eating here. I can’t wait to come back!!
Had 1976 for the first time today. This was the best BBQ we have had to date in BCS. Had brisket, ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. The wife had the same but had the corn instead of beans. Meat was very tasty and tender. Sides were excellent and the corn was wonderful. The gentleman that owns it is very friendly and courteous. We will most definitely be back.
Great food, especially the potato salad and brisket. Did catering for us once too, everyone loved it.
Hands down best bbq in BCS. Mr Bo is awesome, food is amazing. Love the brisket and brisket mac and cheese. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out. Go see Bo at 1976, you won't be disappointed!
I was literally starving and don’t drive down this way often but when I do I always wanna try the BBQ well today I was winning. Although it was after 4PM and they were sold out of much of everything I still was able to grab some brisket corn potato salad and he even threw in some beans… WOW my tastebud where so happy as well as my belly. It was fantastic and great size portion for $12 a plate. The gentleman that helped me assuming owner was so kind and told me about what ingredients are put in the side dishes as I’m not a Mayo person. That cream corn was soo good!!! I can’t wait to tell others and be back to eating some award winning bbq!!! Do y’all selves a favor and get YO SOME I promise you will thank me later!!
I tried this place for the first time and was blown away!! For just $16 I got a soda and a 2 meat plate which came with 2 sides. I was so excited that I forgot to take a picture of my own plate, but I did snag a picture of my boyfriends plate. The brisket was excellent quality, the owner told us it was a tier between Prime and Wagyu beef. I also got ribs which were seasoned to perfection. SANDWICH has too much sauce makes it soggy, and packaged chips m hummm, just skip it. I have had better BBQ and larger portions at other places.
Definitely recommend this BBQ joint, 5 stars from me! The meats were all cooked to perfection, the sides were great (even my 3 year old would approve) and they can make some good sweet tea!!! I will definitely be going back, it’s worth the drive y’all!!!
