Put me outside it doesn't look like much of a restaurant but once you go inside is the cutest coziest family feeling place you could be almost like being at home at Grandma and Grandpa's with the pictures and the wall plaques with the sayings it's just beautiful and the food is the down home country food that it's just delicious it's the only way to describe it and the amount of food they give you for the prices they should be charging double than what they charge you the chicken fried steak that my husband had was bigger than his plate and the chicken fried chicken I had was almost as big as my plate and it was so juicy and tender I will most definitely be returning to this place again and again every time I come to Cleveland Texas and our waitress Teresa was just so kind and friendly and respectful and she even talk to me about the place the restaurant you know she engaged in general conversation she took the time to hold a conversation with us not like most places where they just take your order and leave you alone until it's time to give you your check I really enjoyed my visit to the ranch hand Cafe and I would most definitely be recommending it to all my friends. Also they have the best corn nuggets I have ever tasted since I left Pennsylvania and moved to Texas
Most everything
Local scratch made Texas country food at its best! If your looking for a great chicken fried steak the size of a Texas platter then this is your place. Outstanding food and friendly fast southern service. Cool one of a kind out of the way place won’t disappoint.
Friendly folks, good food and large portions!! I got fried pickles, house salad and the potato bowl!
We were looking for a good diner and Ranch Hand Cafe fit the bill perfectly! The decor is adorable, the food is amazing, the restaurant is clean and the staff is beyond friendly and welcoming. I loved that when we walked in the door their Christmas Village was warm and inviting. Felt like going to a friends house for a meal. I had the Hawaiian grilled chicken dinner and my husband had the Ultimate chicken dinner. Both were excellent! The Fried corn nuggets were just like my grandmother used to make and so fresh! You can tell their oil is fresh and clean! We will be back for sure!
Fabulous food and service. The onion rings were out of this world and the burgers and mashed potatoes were great. Don’t leave without getting the banana pudding!
Ranch Hand Cafe was a surprise to me for sure.I don't normally like this small side of the hwy restaurants because I have always been disappointed in them. But, the Ranch Hand was actually really goid!!The staff was very courteous & ready to serve. The menu had plenty of items to choose from & the food came out great.I always compare restaurants with foods I regularly order when I eat out.I ordered the chicken fried chicken with country white gravy & because of most restaurants rarely giving enough gravy to cover the chicken & potatoes so I ordered an extra side of gravy to add with it.I also ordered fried okra & mashed potato. My husband ordered their patty melt & onion rings & my kids got the chicken strips & fries.Everything came out perfect.I did not need to order an extra gravy because this was the first restaurant I have been to that actually give plenty of gravy. The chicken strips were good & portions were great. My husband said his patty melt was huge, more than he could eat but good.He also ordered the fried corn balls which all of them loved. The only thing I did not like was their tea. It appeared a bit milky & tasted like cheap tea. But, I was told that all of their meats were fresh & not frozen prepackaged already cut meats. All the food was great & I would recommend everyone in the area check this place out. It looks like someone's fixed up barn with that old house country look but, don't let the look of the building discourage you.The food is actually very good, the staff is great & the pice is really good too.We usually go to Chili's, Texas Roadhouse, Logans, etc. & I woukd put the Ranch Hand Cafe in the same basket of choices as any of these. Foodwise they are in the same league & price wise, they are much better.Be sure & tip your servers goid though. They earn it.We will definitely visit them again. They are much closer that having to drive all the way to New Caney & in my opinion they are much better than the Splendora Cafe.
I love stopping by places like this, out in the middle of nowhere. Ranch hand Cafe is cozy. I had the chicken fried steak with mash. It was ok, the flour didn't really stick to the steak. The mash potatoes tasted homemade very delicious. Make sure you don't forget to ask for condiments the first time they attend to you because they take forever to check on you.

Down home cooking you can’t beat! The people are wonderful. Everything tastes awesome and portions are great. If you leave hungry it’s your own fault. 100% recommend
