We had seen Fish Tales several times while we were leaving Tractor Supply, but had never had time to stop to eat there. Today was the day. Our pleasant experience started with the sweet lady behind the counter. We were really hungry, so we ordered fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes. He got the seafood platter to try a good variety, and I got just fried catfish. We just mentioned that this cool weather would have been a nice day to try the gumbo. The sweet lady offered a sample of our choice of seafood gumbo, chicken and sausage gumbo, or crawfish etouffee. So glad we chose the etouffee! We are from Louisiana, so when I say we found it outstanding, trust me. The apps came next, with a smile "something tells me you will be taking a box or two home." Both were so hot and fresh and light, cooked to perfection. We barely made a dent in them when our entrees arrived. Oh my..... I spotted the fries first: fresh and hand cut--just the way they should be, and lots of them! Before I could try my fish, he gave me one of his oysters. Mama!! Soooooo fresh and cooked just right. Then a shrimp... same! It's so very important not to overcook seafood, and they get it. I finally broke open a piece of my fish. Holy mother of catfish! Light, fresh, and delicious. Every mouthful was heavenly. Their sauces were perfect compliments to the seafood. And are you ready? We ended up taking home THREE containers of food to enjoy again. We are already planning our next trip to Fish Tales. Unbelievably good value. Must try!
I'm now frequently passing through Cleveland, so decided to give Fish Tales a try on a recent trip through town, since I'm always in search of good catfish. I didn't find it here. One and done for me.
Fish tales was an amazing experience to have as I was passing through the town the manager Susan was an awesome person excellent management I will definitely go back again when in town.
Really good fried mushrooms and the fish was excellent
I have visited this place on & off over the last 11 years. They are pretty good. Price is average & food is good. Dining in or to go, they treat you well. I would visit. Again. And they have great tea.
Service was definitely pleasant. However, we ordered a large togo order, and arrived before food was finished so we didn’t let it sit before bringing it home. Our “5 piece” chicken was tiny crunchy piecesCatfish was super dryFried Pickles were literal balls of fried pickle. It was just overall disappointing. It’s really gone downhill over the years.
Really great shrimp & oysters!!
The fish is ok on some days and then on other days, it seems like they don't put the same consistency into food, as far as seasoning and its fried so soft. They don't understand the difference between fried crispy and hard. The pieces are very tiny and it's a dollar per piece of tiny fish. It can become very expensive for a family of 4.
We love the fish and shrimp
I enjoy Fish Tales Seafood. Their food I think is very good. Took my mother there for Mother's day lunch and she enjoyed herself. The service at fish tales is good. Keep up the good work guys.
