Takara has become our go to sushi spot. We used to frequent another sushi restaurant in CP, but the ridiculous wait times sent us searching for another place and that was a good thing as Takara is the superior choice! The sashimi is fresh. The gyoza soup is perfect. In short, everything we've tried has been excellent. And their reservation setup is MUCH friendlier. Highly recommended!Service is prompt, but they could be a little more welcoming. Sometimes it seems they are preoccupied. Price point is fair as the quality is top notch.
My daughter and I stopped by for lunch after a recent visit to Cedar Park. They were pretty busy and seemed short staffed. We sat for a long time before we were ever greeted. When we finally were greeted, the waitress was nice and stayed on top of everything. The prices were higher than the cost of other comparable restaurants, but the portion size and quality lived up. I didn’t care for the sweet and sour soup, but that might just be a personal choice, I can’t remember ever ordering it before. I normally eat miso, egg drop or wonton. My daughters dish came with miso soup, and I ended up eating it. It was really good. She ordered the two for $12 sushi rolls and enjoyed both of her Philadelphia rolls with imitation crab. I order combination fried rice and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. You could tell that it wasn’t your run of the mill frozen peas and carrots. These were tiny cut up carrots that tasted fresh.I was disappointed that they didn’t have hot mustard or crab puffs, but the portion size was so large that we didn’t end up needing an appetizer to fill us up. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely eat here again.
Love the vibe and atmosphere. Really nice and helpful service. The food is the bomb. It's a nice, classy place and I would happily eat there every day if I was rich and famous.Try out Q-rolls. It's cucumber instead of seaweed and rice, and then crab meat and avacado in the middle.Simple but really good. And only 14 bucks for a big plate.
The restaurant decor is nice but the Menu is nothing to brag about. The Sushi is mediocre, fish, snow crab eel, albacore not fresh and dry. For the prices they charge per piece of Nigiri, there are far better sushi restaurants in the vicinity.Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Nice ambiance with smooth jazz playing in the background. It was initially slow around 430p on Friday but quickly go busy. Our waitress, Anna, was very attentive, knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was very good. I ordered the Bokum dish. The dish was drowning in sauce which I dislike. However, overall it was a pleasant experience: I’ll skip the saucy dishes next time. Oh! Take a jacket! It was freezing in there!
Thank you for the accommodations. We got the love boat takara and it was delicious!
Great fresh food. Always a favorite for us.
By far the best in Cedar Park. Great food and prices. My wife hates sushi but loves this place. The only negative is sometimes you have to wait a bit at lunch. But I get it, everyone loves this place.
Great place for sushi! I ordered takeout and had a great experience, but it’s also a really nice atmosphere to dine in. Everything I ordered was delicious (I recommend the unagi). The one minor drawback was that some of their menu items were pricier than I’ve seen at other local sushi restaurants.
Beautiful presentation and quality of sushi. We ordered the dream boat.
