Got the Texas trill sandwich. It looked and tasted like it was all chopped brisket and no ribs. Would have preferred slices of rib meat. It also came on a white bun even though it says jalapeño cheddar. The gold sauce tastes like the sauce at salt lick, but slightly sweeter. The sweet tea was not sweet at all. Nachos had a lot of extra chips underneath. Overall just average.
The BBQ is so good! The sides were so delicious too!
This place is, how do you say "most dope"!! I did leave quite "woke" from my badass ribs! Super meaty and full of flavor! The Golden sauce is on point, def asauce to grab!! Potato salad had some killer knife skills involved! Nice touch. The Mac and cheese did taste and feel textural to that of a cafeteria style mac.Banana pudding was also awesome!!
Very unique and fun atmosphere! The menu is seemingly tailored around 90's rap and hip-hop namesakes which, paired with barbeque, works surprisingly well. Food presents nicely, great smokey flavor, and quality meats being supplied by Nolan Ryan's - Good Stock. All members of our party did think it was a bit salty, however that didn't take away from the experience. Beer is cold and fills from the bottom of the cup, TVs with March Madness, good music over the loud system, everything was still fantastic; just be sure to get a water too!
Great food, good pricing, and awesome vibe! Take the kids or your date! Clean tables and great customer service. Would recommend 10 out of 10!
Lovely luncheon! Enjoyed the three dishes ordered. The meat is so amazing, tender juicy and flavorful. Pork Ribs and Sammich is really amazing, a must try. BBQ Nachos serving is also very generous. A heavy lunch for hungry stomach. Very satisfied meal to be honest and I will visit again.
A good pulled pork sandwich is hard to beat. Ribs and brisket and all those are great, but well smoked pork torn to shreds, covered in good BBQ sauce with a layer of cole slaw between two buns? I'm all in. So is SLAB. Really cool atmosphere with an attentive, efficient staff. I tried the Notorious P.I.G. and it did not disappoint. It's a pretty big sandwich and the flavor is really good. I mixed and matched their sauces this time. All the ones I tried were really good, each with a hint of heat. Baked beans were on point as well. This place is legit. Can't wait to try the McDowell
Great BBQ sandwiches. The atmosphere and music are the best. I love it here. ?
Absolutely loved the choices and the food. Staff was friendly. Probably going back again tomorrow.
The people were friendly. No problem there. The space is pretty clean. My complaint is with the food itself. Every single entree is offered with carbs: sandwiches, wraps, bowl with rice. If a person just wants to experience the beef, chicken, sausage, there's really no offering. I had the barbecue nachos but could not stomach more than a few bites. It was cheap corn chips and ballpark nacho sauce from a can and pickled jalapenos from a can and some brisket thrown on top and a lot barbecue sauce. In fact everything is offered with lots and lots of sugar. I think it's part of their business model. I wasn't looking for sweet food.
