We wanted to try something new AND different than the usual places we eat. (We eat out several times per week and have tried almost every restaurant around.) We found Max’s on Google and decided to give it a try.Wow! This was a memorable first visit. Right off the bat, the staff was very friendly and seated us quickly. We really liked the ability to order from our phone at our own pace. (Some may not like this but we did!) The food came out quickly and was very hot.I am not exaggerating when I say every small plate we ordered was different and absolutely delicious. This is NOT your usual Asian fare.We struck up a conversation with Tom (the owner’s dad) and learned more about how the restaurant came to be. This is a family operation and so much of themselves is evident in the food and service. We also talked to Tom’s wife and learned more about Vietnamese cuisine and the French influences in her recipes. I don’t remember all the names of the dishes (see pics) but each one was unique. (Try the meat-filled pastry filled with sauce! You’re welcome). The food is definitely the highlightThey also serve Japanese whiskeys which I have never had. Tom invited me to taste two additional whiskeys from their collection. They are very unique and refreshingly different from U.S. and European whiskeys. If you enjoy whiskey, you definitely must try.We left with such a great experience that we have been telling all our friends and family about it. We will definitely be back soon!Thank you Tom and family for opening such a great restaurant in our area! You all truly have something special!
An absolutely must try, if you're tired of chains and the same old same old offerings in the Cedar Park, Leander area, this will become your go to place for true innovative fusion cuisine.The restaurant is modern, tastefully decorated, clean, light and airy, definitely not stuffy or kitschy.The menu is scan and order on your cell. If you're not into this, you're missing out. Their system is user friendly, fast and very efficient. The beauty of this is that it gives the wonderful staff time to truly explain, interact and serve their guests.The food is fresh, beautiful and absolutely delicious. I came during the happy hour (Everyday 4pm-6pm) and had small plates.Glass noodles, Crispy Tofu, Spring rolls, Curry Tofu, Paté, Shrimp. Each small plate obviously lovingly prepared and bursting with flavor!Service was sublime, welcoming and really good.Full bar with draft and bottled beers, cocktails and cocktail specials.I had a really good pineapple daiquiri!I'm a native born Texan through and through but have been lucky to experience high-end cuisine in Vegas living there for several years.You can have that same high end taste, great service and atmosphere right here.. at a very reasonable price point and without traveling hundreds of miles away..Make a trip out to Max's Fusion & Bar, you won't regret it!
Max's was great. All the food was delicious, and we tried about 8 different plates at our table. The drinks were also spot on. Great selection of Japanese whisky. Staff were friendly, service was quick and great.

Everything about this place was great. The proprietors were friendly and engaged, the food was delicious, the plating was great, the cocktails were unique, and the app based ordering system made it all a breeze. They also had a nice little patio area. If you like Thai food, you'll love this place as they have some variations (Fusion) that really put a unique spin without compromising those tried and true components. Try the eggroll wraps and the short-ribs!
Love at first bite! Well, drink... My lychee martini arrived promptly and tasty.I was lucky to come in a group of four, so I was able to try maybe eight different dishes from the menu. Everything was wonderful - pork ribs and belly, ginger fried rice, egg rolls, and a second drink "Spicy Tamarind". And who knew I could love squash that much!We will be back many, many times. Thanks for the hospitality, Team Max!!!
Inventive cocktails, and every dish we tried had a fantastic burst of flavor. Highly recommend the lemongrass shrimp, sate lemongrass baby back ribs, tamarind ahi tuna, lychee martini, and spicy tamarind cocktail. Can't wait to try the whole menu! Run don't walk to this new establishment
Their team is so welcoming, and the food was beyond delicious! This will definitely be a regular spot for us going forward. Max’s Fusion and Bar is a wonderful addition to the Cedar Park commitment.
This new spot is delicious had the pork belly buns and chicken roti as well as the pho special. Amazing food, decor and selection of drinks and cocktails. This a great new addition to the neighborhood and look forward to many more meals!
