Solid Tex-Mex joint in Cedar Park with a lot of flavorful choices including gluten free options. The service is good and the kitchen is pretty fast. But get there early or sign in remotely because they are EXTREMELY busy during prime time. Especially on Friday/Saturday nights. They aren't afraid of spicy and that's a very good thing. Even their salsa has a little kick! The bacon wrapped shrimp is excellent, but srsly how could it not be? Carne asada was also very good. They don't have charro beans, so that's not great, but everything we tried was cooked well and seasoned well.
Came here for dinner with my colleagues. The food was great and our waitress was nothing but helpful throughout the entire meal. I got the filet asada, which was phenomenal. I'm drooling just thinking about it right now. Came with beans and rice. It was cooked to perfection. I enjoyed my meal and my time here. Hope to be back whenever I'm in town!
It was busy but the customer service was great. My party ordered a pound of beef, shrimp, chicken. The chicken was very tender, the beef was probably the best I've ever tasted and the shrimp was devine. We paid about $190 altogether including drinks and it felt like every cent was worth it. I would recommend this place for any special or non special occasion.
They have decent food. They never get your phone number correct to eat you table is ready. Drinks are. Ery good. Great atmosphere for adults and kids. But, for it ro be a Tortilla pla e I can say this. Their tortillas are terrible. Flour are paper thin. Corn tortillas are mushy. The staff us very friendly and attentive. They are understaffed so please be patient. Tortilla soup is not very good either. But, it is still a fun place to hang out.
We got the beef fajitas. They were amazing! The only thing I didn't love was the fact there the onions were scant and there were no bell peppers. We got the beef fajitas for 2 (1lb) which was $54.99! Super spendy. But the meat was tender and very flavorful. For me, the onions and peppers are a solid 50% of my fajitas experience and for that much money, I really wish I had more. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Lupe has great food, lots of choices and IMO all are good. I love their beef fajitas… a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this location for casual Mexican plates, Mexican shrimp cocktail, great drinks and small plates, or a large group who is celebrating. Staff and service are excellent… obviously great management. Don’t miss out!
In town from Iowa visiting, so this was my first experience. I am blown away with everything about this place. Our server (King Chelsi) was extremely polite and available. Chef Roy brought complimentary beef fajitas which were the best I have ever tasted, hands down. Everything is made fresh daily which gives a very competitive edge over all other choices for lunch or dinner. I am very pleased with the quality of food and the professionalism and outstanding customer service. I will most definitely revisit before I leave and return any other times visiting the area in the future. Thank you Chelsi and thank you Chef Roy. That business is very lucky to have employees as dedicated as the two of you.
What a great meal and experience we had at dinner. Food was fabulous as always. We ate at the bar and there was no wait but I can't say enough about the bar staff. Erin and her sister Haley were most delightful and attentive to our every need. We'll be back and you should go..the drinks were made to perfection. Thank you Erin you're the best.
Food and drinks were awesome. I was visiting TX from elsewhere and I had a craving for Tex-Mex, and this place definitely satisfied it. My tamale, enchilada, and taco plate was all excellent, as were a few things I sampled off a fajita platter. This would have been 5 stars had they been a little better staffed - I think it hurt the speed of the service. Bonus, though: they brought out our kids' dishes first before the adult plates.
I have always enjoyed eating at Lupe Tortilla with the exception of yesterday. We arrived a little after 1:00 PM and were told we had a 30 minute wait. After observing a large number of empty tables and waiting over 30 minutes I went back to the hostesses and she said we could be seated in a large booth (which had been empty for a long time)! We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. When the appetizers arrived we asked for napkins and silverware. After eating the appetizers, we asked, for the second time, for napkins and silverware. Can you believe we were told they did not have any clean napkins or silverware? Our food arrived and when asked if we needed anything else, I asked for napkins and silverware ??♀️! One of our orders was wrong and another order never came out. We asked twice for that order and never received it. We told the waiter to cancel that order because we had already been there approximately two hours with two small children . By the way, they finally found napkins and silverware for us to use!
