Good and tasty food but customer service was not up to mark. They prioritize big group of customer to single customer. I asked for nan during a buffet visit and did not get it. I had to go to counter and ask for two times and they did not care to bring it. But for group they were providing it without even asking. I did that buffet trip without serving of nan. Their buffet was $20 whereas other Indian buffet in Austin is around $17 for similar food. Indeed, I had also visited for Dosa buffet based on their advertisement and was very keen to try their cheese or chocolate dosa but they refused to serve me those saying those were only for kids. It would have been better they would have mentioned those details in their ads.
Came for dosa buffet nightThe restaurant didn’t have many people. Most of the food containers at the buffet were empty.Restaurant ran out of Upma, vada and PuriFor the ‘dosa buffet’ we were told it takes time to get dosasWaited 25 min and then Puri came and a couple of people emptied container. We left the restaurant and probably won’t come back
Our first visit today to Indian delights was wonderful. The food was excellent the service was pretty much nonexistent however I cannot blame restaurant owners for the staffing issues that they unfortunately experience during Covid when many servers have no desire to show up on time or to work at all.I feel for those in the restaurant industry because of this, however what was irritating to me is I asked twice for two glasses of water with ice and was forced to drink the bottle of water on the table which was of course an added expense to our meal which I did not ask for.No servers ever came by to check on us at our table. The other issue was it took approximately 45 minutes for the naan bread to get out of the kitchen from when they open the doors at 11:30 and also for there to be any rice on the buffet line also took 45 minutes. We will definitely come back as the food was excellent but would appreciate the owners serving water to customers who want water rather than charging them for bottled water which is sit out on every single table in the restaurant. If you need to charge more money for the buffet then charge more money.
The food is absolutely 5 stars all the way but they have some negative issues, thus the reason for the three star rating. Food is DELICIOUS!!! I like that they had plastic gloves to use when serving yourself from the Buffet. However, most people did not put on a glove when using the serving utensils. They appeared to be very short staffed.Negatives;1. front door glass is very dirty.2. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday for the Buffet but a lot of the items did not come out for another 20 to 30 minutes. The Naan was brought to the table about 35-40 minutes after we arrived and the basmati rice was finally brought out to the Buffet about 45 minutes after we got there.3. Apparently, they only offer bottled water. That’s very annoying because of the waste of plastic bottles. We didn’t understand why we couldn’t just get a glass of ice water instead of having to buy bottled water. We LOVED the food. The service was nearly nonexistent. The food was terribly late coming out to the Buffet. And, we hope they will start allowing customers to have a glass of water instead of being forced to buy bottled water. Due to all the negatives, I must give them a 3 star review. The food was incredibly delicious and I’m hoping they will change the other issues for a more positive experience.
Tried this for the first time the other day.We were very pleased with the food quality that came out. I wanted my dish to be spicy and it came out super spicy. This was great for me because i love spicy food, but would be far too spicy for the average customer. The portions were also great. I managed to eat my fill, and have enough for lunch the next day.the only reason i give this 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. There was 1 guy working the front, and waiting tables.he seemed to be on the phone the entire time, presumably taking orders, as well as dealing with numerous people coming in to pickup orders to go.The menu should have item descriptions for those of us who are not familiar with everything by name.I give the guy at front credit because he appeared to be doing what he could to get to everyone, with little to no help.We will give this place another try in the future.
If you want to explore food from different parts of India or if you are just missing home, this is the place to visit. Loved the food and ambience and at great prices. Good size of helping. I hope the owners of the place don’t increase the prices as the place gets more popular. Buffet is great - being a big appetite :)
It was my first time trying Indian food, and I'm really impressed. At Indian Delights, you are welcomed into a clean and friendly environment where the staff is always smiling. My experience at this restaurant was wonderful! I order the Mushroom Pepper Fry and it was hands down the best I've ever had. I don't know what the spices are but they are amazing and incredible. They use it on a lot of dishes too which is nice so you can try lots of different things. This place is awesome. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was outstanding. I can't wait to go back!
Thanks to this restaurant, I have a delicious and healthy restaurant right in my neighborhood. With the crazy amount of competition out there these days, it's hard for new restaurants to get noticed these days. Fortunately, they does an awesome job and I know I can count on them when I want a home-cooked meal from my favorite cuisine. The restaurant is designed with a modern but homey feel and looks like it was transplanted from out of India. I have NEVER seen such kind people or a CLEAN place in my life. This is a must-have for anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Cedar Park.
Recent set of guests and close friends came to our place and they just loved this meal. The flavours are so well balanced and it is a good way to eat some veggies. It leaves you with a sensation of guilt-free indulgence. I just wanted to say that the food is incredible and the staff is really friendly. They gets 5 stars across the board.
It has been an amazing experience with the service and food at Indian Delights. I particularly liked the Tikka Fries, Chicken majestic and various types of dosas like chicken tikka dosa, egg dosa and veg spring dosa. They had been mouthwateringly yummy. I would love to visit it again with friends and family for tasty food.
