The 15 minute wait for a table was well worth it. Great service, great food, fabulous Bloody Mary, decent atmosphere. Ordered the 1431 Special which is 2 pancakes (the biggest I've ever seen), 2 eggs, bacon or sausage and a small juice. Everything was delicious. I did have to request more syrup for those huge pancakes. Hubs got the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy and I can testify that they were alsi delicious. Staff was definitely working hard and doing a bang-up job of it. Every one of them had a great outlook and an interesting personality. We'll be back again for sure!
I wanted to like this place because it’s local and the staff is so nice but it was a very mixed bag on my last visit.I got pancakes, sausage links, breakfast potatoes, and coffee.Pros: the coffee was hot, strong, and very good. The sausage links had a nice snap to them and good flavor. My server at the bar was super friendly and did a great job.Cons: the pancakes were not at all fluffy. They were hard, dense, and flavorless. Sadly, my kids can make better pancakes from a box mix. The potatoes were clearly frozen squares of potato that had been halfheartedly reheated. They had no flavor or texture. Would have been so much better if they were made in house from fresh potatoes. It wasn’t as clean or tidy as I would want in a restaurant. The front and back of the bar were both total disaster areas.I doubt I will go back as I can get good coffee many other places. Maybe some of their other food is better but I didn’t get the yummy pancake breakfast I was hoping for.
If you want high quality food with a small diner feel then 1431 Cafe is the perfect place! It was unbelievable the fantastic customer service we encountered and the portions were huge and packed with flavor. We had the chicken salad sandwich (Best one I've ever had), 1431 club sandwich, fried okra, and the footlong corn dog for kids. It was heavenly!!!!! Can't wait to go back!!
Stopped by the 1431 Café for a mid morning breakfast. There was a line forming behind us, but we were promptly seated. The greeter was very welcoming. We ordered the Big Breakfast and the Chicken fried steak. The portions were huge and we had to get a “To-Go” Box. I will say that there is something to be said about cold food. This seems to be a common complaint as you read thru the reviews. On both plates, we had various items, primarily the sides that varied from cold to Luke warm. It’s almost like they plate the sides first, then cook the entrée. The servers were fantastic, great positive attitudes and were working their tails off. From my perspective they were understaffed considering the number of people in the restaurant. It’s very possible that the food just sits waiting for the servers. Overall, the food was good, excellent service, but someone really needs to look into why the food arrives room temperature at best.

You can't go wrong with a great country breakfast served until 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon.Generous portions that won't break the bank. Their Bloody Marys are pretty tasty.
This cafe always has a crowded parking lot. So we decided to stop for a burger. The hostess was borderline sullen, no smile, no greeting- so ok, maybe long day, maybe too long of a shift, maybe just worn out. Ok. So our server came over- she was just GREAT- a smile, efficient, took our order. We ordered a patty melt with fries- it arrived in 5 minutes. So- the meat was barely warm- had to be pre-cooked, cheese was a pre-made sauce, rye bread barely grilled, not crisp at all. The fries were hotter and crisp. I'm not sure if we will go back ever, and I won't recommend 1431cafe to anyone, except dont go with any great expectations.
The staff were all very friendly, the food was pretty good. The only downfall were that my eggs and potatoes were cold by the time my plate made it to the table. My cup of coffee never went empty and our waters were almost the same. Overall, I'd give this place another try if I was in the area again.
Really enjoyed my meal here. They were packed, so it is easy to see they make delicious food! Had the Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict and it was delicious. Stop on by! Can't wait to go back.
First time coming to this restaurant , 50+ minutes after ordering to get our food. To top it off , egg shells on my food not once but twice . Plus the lady attending us with a bad attitude face look . Never again , should of gone to my usual Ihop
