Veracruz always offers a very good tasting meal. However, the seating is very tight. We were sitting so close to strangers that I thought I was in philly..lol. But the reason for 3 stars is because of pricing. They raised their prices on the menu but didn't raise the bar on their service. No table linens. The waiter didn't come to our table often. We had to keep calling him. The clientele are mostly English speakers, so the waitstaff needs to understand the language of the patrons. Then without asking our party of 7 if it would be separate bills, he brought one bill and walked away. We had to flag him down again to let him know we had 3 families there and we were separate. The service needs to be way better to justify the pricing.
We were seated immediately upon arrival , this was a Thurs around 7pm. Tables are small for 4 people. Tables arranged very close to one another. Bar is small but good drink options. Food tasted great and was warm. Prices were a bit steep but expected for a "cuisine." Plenty of parking. Servers are attentive. Rice was fluffy. Black beans tasted great. Enchemoleadas are to recommend.
Had dinner here Friday night, the place was pretty full when we got there. We had to wait around 15 min to be seated (party of 8) during those 15 min we had 4 people ask if we had been helped. Everyone was soo nice and friendly! Once we got out table our server was nice and fast even tho he was crazy busy. Everyone enjoyed their dinner except for the fajitas, their chicken milanesa and chimichanga were my favorite.

Awesome dinning experience! Service, food and drinks were all above average. Attentive to the table, food arrived quickly and was delicious, and the margaritas were strong! I’ll be back! Veracruz Cafe is the spot, officially!

I believe we found a new restaurant to dine in. It was a great experience. The food was excellent. I had the chimichanga with beef it came with the beans and the rice which were very good. Didn't know it was self-seating otherwise we would have sat at a different table beside the one in the corner. Will do next time. The service was a tad slow but maybe it will be better next time we go. The parking was good didn't realize it had other shops behind this restaurant. So I think we found a gem within cedar hill.

Stoped in for dinner. Super friendly waitstaff, great menu and phenomenal food at very reasonable prices. I will be back.
