Review for Royals Chicken- Cedar Hill location. I usually love going here, it's one of the places I make sure that I visit when I'm in town, but the quality of the food I received today was highly disappointing for what I was charged. I paid $11.00 for a 3 piece mixed, with 2 extra peppers and 1 extra roll, I paid for 2 but only 1 made it in the bag. I could have literally counted the number of soggy, limp fries that were on the bottom of my container. The container was to small, food was literally tossed on the fries, which tasted like the pickle and peppers that were laid on top of them, and the fried chicken laid on top of that. It was then put in a balled up brown paper bag for good measure and an extra dose of disregard.
Wesley, would have received 5 stars. His chicken was crispy, juicy, and tasty ?. The pieces were regular sized not the hormone infused super-sized pieces some establishments serve.\\n\\nI was impressed with his people and on the spot marketing skills. He gave my grandchildren free chicken tender meals to encourage them in becoming future customers.\\n\\nMy daughter had ? ? nuggets. They actually resembled strops. She enjoyed them though. Her meal included numerous hush ? and a generous serving of ? and ?!\\n\\nI searched for and decided on Royals Fried Chicken. My daughter and grandchildren knew about but had not frequented the establishment. Wouldn't figure that my order would be the one he got all wrong. I ordered an all white meal, ? breast \\u0026 wing. We got back to house to uncover I had a basket of party wings.\\n\\nI was not happy. I paid for an all white meal that is what I should have received.
Went in today at exactly 8:18 pm. Place closes at 9:00 pm. Young tall gentleman sweeping up asks me unenthusiastically, “You trying to order?” I knew by his tone even though it wasn’t that close to closing, he was ready to go. I said “Yes, are y’all done for the day?” I know better than to order food from someone that is not wanting to serve you. He said, “Yeah”. I left, watched a few people walk in after me and looks like started orders. I didn’t protest, not going to beg someone to take my money. Went on up 67 and Pleasant Run to Fluffy’s and young men in there were cracking jokes with the customers, polite, and brought our food out to the car after ordering.
Best chicken in Cedar Hill, hands down! Everytime my family comes to visit,, they have to go to Royals.. We go at least twice a month and they used to have a bit of an issue with their wait time, but they have gotten alot better! You want chicken, you have to go here!!
They live up to their name. Chicken was moist, fresh, and had good seasoning. I decided to get a fish fillet and it was just as good. While they are a distance from me, I think I found my new go to. I started on the fish before the pic.
My 1st visit. 3 piece mixed with fries was fantastic. Chicken tenders were good. Fountain drinks was out of order. Time frame to get the food. (20 min). I'll order online next time.
I'm giving them 1 stars for 2 reasons. 1. I placed an order for fish steak, drove from Arlington to get it and get there only to be told they don't have any fish steaks. 2. They recommended I go across the street to Royal Seafood and it was gross... tasted and smelled like old grease and I had to wait an additional 25min. I wasted $54 there. I liked supporting this business but this was very inconsiderate and inconveniencing. Just lost a customer that spent good money.
This is my go to for fried chicken and seafood. Tastes home cooked. The owner Wesley is very personable and professional.
Happy I heard of them , chicken was good. Wasn't hot hot like fresh out the oil but It was good.
Food is good.. customer service is 50/50 no one is at the window and/or walks off when you come up to the window. Order my food at 12 pm and they stayed 25 mins… and hour later and it’s still not ready.
