My wife and I waited this morning at the door and felt ignored for about 15 minutes before we were finally seated. Should have left then but we had always received good service prior. Waited another 15 minutes at our table and were never acknowledged while the parties that came in behind us were served. I don't think we will return after the treatment we received today. Hopefully this is not a trend of substandard service for African Americans.
Service very, very slow! Short staffed because patio is not open. Can't even get a refill on coffee. Server never checked on us. Asked another server for coffee, she was to inform our server. ? I had one of the Whole Mess plates with eggs, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and hash browns with bacon. Pretty healthy portion and I couldn't eat it all!
We have been here for over an hour. 30 minutes waiting outside and 30 to get a table. The hostess told us to give our name and we did and never asked to sit outside or in , and plenty of people skipped over us and got there meals ahead of us before we did . Our waiter wouldn’t come to our table for another 20 minutes, and took a long time for our order .I’ve been here many of times and never got a service like this. Thank you ( we just got our food , egg shells on the burrito , gravy not mixed right it’s still chunky , eggs not cooked right this is unacceptable.)
Very bad service especially for food that's just mediocre. Nothing special. Ordered as soon as I walked in no menu needed. Had trouble having the host/order taker understand my order. I should have know to run and go somewhere else. But I figured everyone deserves a chance!? No biggie we got through it, or so I thought. Was not given order complete. Waited over 25 minutes for a Togo order of 2 chicken strips with fruit and gravy. The gravy was so very thick, I couldn't even dip or pour over chicken. I had to ask for my order and did ask "is it complete?" Was assured it was, it was not. Had to go back for my ice tea, remembered just as I started my vehicle. That took another 4 minutes to get. While I was there I witnessed people asking for there ti let repeatedly. Then when they were Finally able to pay the wait staff lost the customers card. It was found about 5-7 minutes later!???
Best American-style breakfast in Cedar Hill, hands-down. Delicious food, exceptional service, neat atmosphere. Pretty crowded usually as expected.. A bigger space would be ideal, but we’ll take what we can get. Excellent establishment.. Thanks!!??
Food was good and fairly quick getting out. But we were there on a Friday morning not the weekend so it was quieter. I had the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was really really good. Partner had the original mess and it was quite tasty. As others have said the biscuits are pretty good
Great breakfast ?! Perfectly priced.
The biscuits are nice and fluffy yet soft and thick, bacon wasn’t overly crispy but not too chewy, my wife’s chicken and waffles was her favorite ? a great way to start my morning and would definitely be coming back again soon!!! The niner is for anyone with an appetite and I got mine with an add on if biscuits and gravy!!! We were checked on by several members of the staff and felt very welcome ! Great music choice as well, heard some Hall and Oates, Rod Stewart and many other stars from before my time and enjoyed every second of it.
BEST. BREAKFAST. EVER. We had a 45 minute wait for our food after ordering, but neither us, nor any of the other patrons in the full house seemed to mind. They were up front and accurate above the timing but it was well worth the wait. Never miss an opportunity for breakfast here!
Good food. Reubin sandwich was extremely light on the meat. Never seen a Reubin so thin. Pricing was reasonable. Been trying their crepes special a few times. They are half price and pretty good, especially the fruit crepes. Service has always been quite attentive and friendly. It is a mainstay for locals. Outdoor eating is very pleasant. Have eaten there mire times than I can count. Good place to eat and converse.
