1846 coffee shop is right in the middle of downtown. Historic quarter it is.I have been here like ten times in the past year.Coolest place ever for coffee and hangout in Cedar Hill. There are many good restaurants to eat around the area too.So 1846. Good coffee and drinks. Good price too.Must try their pastry since they are really tasty.Conducive environment to work or meet friends. They have enough space and comfy chairs.I like their simple but catchy decor too. High ceiling makes things quite grande and elegant. And the brick wall around is a true gem.Friendly servers. Super friendly shop owner, Jake! And funny! And he can talk, just minding you.Highly recommended for a cool coffee shop in Cedar Hill.
Great coffee shop to chill at and I have always been able to find a seat! They are usually pretty quiet so it's a great place to study or just have a conversation. Their drink selection is on the more limited side but they have such unique drinks (including some lemonades right now!). Their treats/snacks are always on point. Will definitely be back!
Very quaint and calm. Not a busy feeling place or commercialized. My introvert daughter would love having coffee here. I enjoyed this place and would come back. It would be my first choice to meet a friend and catch up.
A nice, quiet, and chill coffee. The Stella Rosa pound cake donut was really good and the cappuccino was great as well. Will definitely be back.

Amazing coffee, delicious pastries, and the people working are so friendly. We were only in town for a day but we still talk about how good it was! Get the latte with honey and cinnamon!
First time stopping in today! It was awesome! Early Morning, quiet, peaceful place to start the morning! Lots of space to sit and enjoy great coffee. It has an at home feel, and the barista was so sweet that took our order. The pastries were very good with the coffee. Lot's of selection on the menu. Great place to take friends and hang out
I’ve been to this place more times than I can count, and love it more every time! Pastries are always delicious, the coffee (or chai) is always perfect, the baristas and owners are awesome. The atmosphere is relaxing and perfect for coffee dates or studying. Can’t recommend 1856 highly enough!
Very nice and inviting coffee shop. The owner came to my table and introduced herself and she was super sweet. I will definitely be back soon.
Wow. We walked by after eating pizza next door and they were closed we missed them by about 20 minutes. The owner saw us looking inside the door and opened the door and invited us in. I love love love this place! Coffee was delish! Staff was friendly and we cannot wait to go back to stay a while! You have a customer for life! Way to go guys:) thanks for being amazing, even after closing time!!
