Today I had lunch at Tipicos and ordered the enchiladas. A piece of raw chicken was in meal. When i brought it to the attention of the manager, he dismissed it and said it never happened. He did not offer an apology or to comp my meal .. I paid for the meal but never again.
Tasted very Tex-Me to us. They do not speak real good English & we don't speak Spanish, so it was difficult to ask questions. We ordered the tostadas & my grandson ordered the quisedo burrito. They never came back to check on us, we had to stare at them to come over & get us some more drinks. You get 1 small bowl of chips & if you want more, you have to pay for them.
Food was good. Have to get server's attention for more coffee as cups are too small. Dallas Tipico has larger cups. They forget to bring water when asked. No prices on menu. They need to put new ceiling as their are old. New like the one in Dalles. Air filters need to be changed. Hate fior the dirt to fall on the food. Outside need to be fix of their holes. Make the place look nice and attractive7th
Pros, the food is good. It was very clean. Nice staff. Cons, it's a bit dated The menu is very difficult to read. Another, pro is that it has good atmosphere. Be aware that you will need to pay for your order upfront. We were not told that by our waitress. Our waitress didn't ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. Why do they have a newspaper stand in the restaurant? Seems odd to me.
The food is delicious. We got the papa con huevos (potato and eggs) with refried beans. Their tortillas are homemade. I wouldn't get their coffee. The server was super patient and kind. The menu; the prices were covered up. I asked the server why that was. Their menu prices weren't up to date to what they have in the system. I mean we had the funds to go out to eat, but did not hurt ask. The check out was smooth and girl at the counter was nice to. I would go back again. To try their other dishes.
This place is Authentic Mexican. Can order Breakfast anytime of day. I ordered some Huevos Rancheros ( sunny side up eggs with mild hot sauce on top , cones with beans and potatoes. If you like eggs this is so awesome. Chips and salsa are served . Two kinds of hot sauce.
Both hot sauce were great. Flour tortillas started getting hard before we finished eating. Good size portion of chilaquilles.
I come here for the number 34 or a big huge bowl of menudo! Tipicos never fails to deliver awesome food at a reasonable price. When I'm feeling extra I order either the guiso plate or carnitas. Trust me when I say that dang near every item on the menu is DELICIOUS!
Best homemade Mexican food anywhere around. Everything is wonderful! The best Homemade Tortillas you'll find anywhere. The meat, beans, and rice are fantastic. Great sauces, Great service! This is the place for real Mexican food at it's best. Get there! Try it soon!
The food is great here and we love the hot salsa! Goes great with their homemade chips! I've pretty much had almost everything on the menu! My favorite is their Caldo and Carnita Tacos!
