We had just eaten at Mad for Chicken next door and I was pretty full but had to save room. Try the matcha/black sesame swirl soft serve if it’s still around, it was not too overpowering; excellent flavor. Fast service even when it looks like there’s a hundred people inside. And they were sweethearts. The custard Ah-boong was so delicate and sweet. Can’t wait to return and try more.
Really friendly service. I've never had this before so it was really unique to me. Basically unique flavored soft serve ice cream with a filling stuffed waffle cone in the shape of a fish. It's a soft waffle. They give a choice of different toppings and a choice of either a baby macron or a quarter of a strawberry. I got the milk flavored ice cream with cocoa crisp toppings. Strawberry on the side with custard filled waffle. It was pretty filling. The atmosphere seemed to be vibrant. Very popular place. It has a large indoor seating area and outdoor. It's in the center of the entire plaza. I loved that they had napkins, hands sanitizer, and little cups with a water dispenser at the disposal of the customer. The area is clean. At the time we went it was pretty loud cause of how popular it is, maybe it was the time of day I was in, but it was difficult to speak to others. Loved my experience.
Why do I love Somi Somi? The asian flavored soft serve like Ube+Black sesame makes ice cream eating unique. Also the Ah-boong which is the fish shaped waffle with choice of filling like Nutella or custard is a game changer. My only suggestion would be to have management change the ah-boong waffle to a more soft waffle like they had before. I was there yesterday and they changed the consistency of the soft waffle we live to a hard American waffle cone which was disappointing. Other than that the ice cream and choice of toppings like one crumbles like you get at a froyo shop are the bomb!
The go-to place for really delicious, super smooth soft serve!! The matcha flavor is a personal favorite, but all the flavors are really good!! Love that the sweetness isn’t too overpowering and you also get a choice of toppings to go with the soft serve!! Perfect dessert stop??
I walk past this place every time I go to Dallas and I finally tried it this time! If you like soft serve, you’d like it. What will keep me coming back is the taiyaki! SO GOOD. I need to try their other fillings!
It’s such a great location with a Daiso and Ramen shop in the same shopping center. The strawberry milk was delicious and I completely devoured my cookies and cream with a taikyaki to top it off. Found them on TikTok ✨?

Hello future ice cream shop! Very modern looking interiors. Walk in to self order at a kiosk, or with the cashier. Very simple and user friendly system. I had the cookies n cream with Nutella stuffed Somi, it was delicious! Even offered for a free sprinkle topping or a macaroon very nice gesture. Place was busy at 9:30 on a Thursday night.
I just went to SomiSomi tonight for dessert and it was sooooo yummy!!I got a matcha ice cream cone and the ice cream wasn't not overly sweet so I was very happy! And the fish cone was belt in my mouth delicious!I also ordered a taro and Nutella taiyaki on the side and let me tell you: The taro taiyaki was the dessert I've been looking for my whole life. The dough or whatever you would call it was still warm and just the perfect amount of sweet, the taro filling was also yummy! (I haven't eaten the Nutella one yet because I was so full: my eyes said yes but my stomach said not tonight lol).Honestly, I highly recommend SomiSomi! The workers were also very friendly and helpful!!
