The vibes were cool. The waiters were helpful and answered questions. One waiter would come by often to help cook and cut our food. The grill was often changed and made it difficult to cook food as we had to wait for it to heat up again but it is an understandable practice.Personally, I needed a guide or a chart suggesting how long each thing should be cooked as we ended up overcooking most things. Similarly could be said for the pairing with the side dishes and sauces. It was fun to go with friends but it can be overwhelming at the same time.
Our party visited the restaurant in the evening and were highly surprised by the hospitality of the staff and calm atmosphere of the place (This place was full packed with diners and people waiting in the lobvy to be seated). The prices are bit high but the meats tasted really good.We ordered some pork belly and prime ribs cooked on stone pot's lid (Korea's traditional cooking pot which is about 20in wide). Servers were quick and efficient and made sure we had everything that we needed which I really appreciate. You will never be hungry in the end. The place is worth coming back again.
We tried this place today. It was a very bad experience. The server would tap on the table while explaining to us that we can only order 4 meats. They would also skip us on purpose and check on the table next to us. They didn't come to check if we need food or drink refill or if everything is okay. We were the first table if you go inside the room. But they didn't check on us, they would ignore us and check on the table next to us. We were very disappointed and felt uncomfortable so we left without finishing our food. NEVER COME BACK AGAIN
GREAT experience! The food was absolutely wonderful and the experience was one in its own. I’d love to go back sometime and grab more. I had a lot of fun. Id recommend to anyone who is adventurous
Why is it all the OG Dallas Korean restaurants keep ending up like this? They start really well and once they taste some success, they'll become too high and mighty for the customers. Their attitude becomes "you are here? so what, go grab a seat and don't bother us." Super rude, the food is mediocre at best, I'd rather not spend money here. Good companies become best and stay best. Guess you can thank the "foreigners" for coming to your lousy restaurant to keep your door open.
Remarkably good food. A little run down and dark (not intimate setting kind of dark). The hostess (maybe owner?) was charming and engaging. Refills on sides were easy to obtain, although served in very small dishes, which had to be refilled frequently. Noodles were flawless. The cooking plate was replaced often.Waitstaff was unobtrusive, yet abundantly attentive. Looking forward to returning.
a close friend of mine promised to take me here several years ago but we never got to it. So we finally made it today. I was really excited to eat here. The food was okay (they weren't my favorite, though). The sides were good (there weren't a lot of choices though and they didn't have the lettuce to wrap the bbq meat with like I thought they would) and the choices on the menu were decent. The service was fair... they checked on us frequently. However, the only thing that bothered me a lot was the fact that they kept coming back asking if we wanted to order more meat while my friend and I were trying to have a talk over lunch. We kept saying to wait a bit (over and over again) and that we were gonna order later but they were really pushy. But we never said that we were done. After several more times, I guess they took it as we weren't gonna order more meat cuz they put the check on our table even though my friend was still hungry and was planning to order more later. We couldn't even have a conversation over lunch with them constantly asking, "you want to order some more meat?" Jeez, give us some space. I tried to get him to order more after they brought the check but I guess he was rather put off by it and decided to close out the check anyways, even though he was looking forward to eat a lot here. I love Korean BBQ and I usually go to Gen Korean BBQ across the street. I might just stick to that place. I won't be back. I really don't like it when I bring someone close to me here to enjoy an experience with me and he gets treated like that.
great atmosphere and food!
Dine in or take out. Prompt professional wait staff. Dine for 2 is a great value! We ordered the rib eye steak, shrimp and chicken. The in table grill was changed throughout our dinner. Loved the sides especially the potato salad, cucumber kimchi, cold noodles and tossed salad. Great atmosphere. Clean!
One of the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in Dallas area. Variety of selections on the menu and server always helpful with new orders and cleaning wok every 15 mins.
