The katsu is very good here and perfectly cooked. You can choose between chicken, beef, and pork. They also have rice with a side bowl of curry sauce that I liked to mix together. They even check up on you at least once during your meal. They are friendly and provide good service. Love this place.
Waitress acted like she would rather be somewhere else. It really showed in both service and food. From start to finish, we always had to grab her attention to initiate anything from ordering, checking to paying.On top of the horrible service, food itself was hilarious. They're charging us 17+ dollars for a meal that comes with small pinch of bland macaroni, one scoop of unfresh salad, store bought udon with one slice of raw mushroom, and overcooked bland pork cutlet.Presentation was sad and it tasted sad.I also really want to ask why the whole restaurant smelled like febreze. It's very unappetizing to smell that chemical smell when we're here to dine.You will never see me eating here again. You should be aware that there are other restaurant with similar price range that offers a lot better service and quality food few blocks away.
Overall a horrible experience, we had come to this place once before and felt incredibly uncomfortable and like a bother to our waitress. The restaurant was not busy at all maybe 4 total tables were occupied including ours. I thought maybe the waitress was just having a rough day and gave her the benefit of the doubt and boy was I wrong!! Tonight i decided to come give them another chance with my family and again our waitress was just as horrible. They sat us near the door, gave us our menus, went to service the other two tables with guests, served them their food, and asked of they needed anything else. After still waiting more, we finally get our food and everything was warm at best, the cheese fries we ordered for my 3 year old were cold!! The waitress made zero effort in attempting any type of decent customer service as she threw the plates down on the table. One thing they did do is ask our table ONCE if we needed anything when other tables were asked multiple times. Overall horrible service mediocre food. Definitely never giving this place a third chance ever!!
Good crispy breading, a lot of places get this wrong where it’s too thick or thin. Kind of wanted better flavor from the inside but it was still tender and the breading coming out well makes up for that for me.If you’re 30 min out or something I wouldn’t make the trek but decent option if you’re nearby. Service was fine, K-pop playing if you’re into that. Vibe feels more like a dinner option compared to lunch but I’ll probably come back again and try more of the menu.
Maybe I had wrong expectations because I am Japanese. Are Korean tonkatsu supposed to be this thin? It was definitely not what I expected. It wasn’t bad but the meat was so much thinner than expected. I also did NOT like their sauce. It tasted like soju. I gotta say I didn’t like that they put chilli peppers in my side udon. I ordered it for my toddler not expecting udon being spicy :(I prefer Kurobuta over this place.
The katsu was so great. The king katsu is huge and big enough for two people. Being able to add on an udon to your order was a plus for me. One issue I had was that the salad had peanut sauce on it and this was not listed in their menu. One of my friends is allergic and it was a bit of a close call.
Best katsu place we've found so far.Good krispy breading and not oily.Large portions and the sides were good.We got the pork katsu and cheese katsu.If you want more protein, maybe choose something other than the cheese katsu.
My friend and I are here in Dallas for a business trip and we’ve basically went to all the “hit” spots in Dallas, but I can guarantee you that this place is the best. Period. Highly recommend the katsu with soba set. They go so well together. I believe this is my first review for a restaurant but that’s how good they were!
The soup base is sooooo good! The chicken is very tender. Tastes as good as one i had in japan.
Delicious crispy katsu! The curry is very good too, big potato chunks and isn't too thick or thin. Scarfed down the whole meal cause it's just so freaking good. Gf got the cheese katsu with udon and the cheese katsu is just as good, udon is super flavorful too! All around just really good, definitely recommend and will probably come back soon!
