Food was good yummy but I was told there be 6 sticks for the order of mozzarella sticks ..they could have been just unsure and they were good and hearty so not goin to dramatize too much on that. But here was the downer, my Stromboli was ordered to be loaded...Canadian bacon, Sausage, pepperoni, Hamburger, green peppers, mushrooms onions, and Black olives and mozzarella cheeze....though all it had in it was Canadian bacon, sausagez pepperoni and cheeze...so one of the main portions of my order was missing over half the ingredients that was ordered..again food very good but missing some of the goods to the order was bit bummed out.
Racist owner of the restaurant told me that he is "not used to seeing my KIND" in his restaurant.I have been here a few times and have always felt that the staff here is very cold toward me... Let's be honest. I am a black woman. They never acknowledge me when I come in. I am often left standing around to wait, while I watch the staff warmly greet "other" customers. Regardless of how kind or patient I am. They treat me like nothing. And then to make matters even worse... today, the owner BLATANTLY looked me in my face and said that he is "not used to seeing my kind" in his restaurant.... and the nearby staff members who heard him say this laughed.Despite how dehumanizing this experience was, I remained kind and calm. I grabbed the food and left. Needless to say, I will NEVER be back. And I encourage anyone reading this to never go there.
I came into this establishment & was absolutely amazed by the service and welcoming the staff are . I want to personally s/o to Jay for the excellent customer service and great people skills . I had a tough day and this young man said some words of encouragement that helped a lot . The pizza here likely to be the best I’ve had in a long time . Thank you Jay for being you and moving by faith . I will highly recommend Joe’s and god bless .
