We like BZ and have been ordering about once a week. Today was awful. Too much bread scooped out. Only thin crust was left and fell apart. Only 3 shrimp in a NOLA. Nobody had the right dressing. Had to wait 10 min because they didn't have cookies made. Won't be back anytime soon.
I wrote my last review of Zeppelin in 2016. While I have not written one in awhile, I frequent the restaurant at least once of month if not more often. They made a change to their process which has sped up the line. They no longer rocker-cut the salad into small bits. The current process is to leave your salad in tact with larger pieces. They add your dressing choice and toss it with tongs to completely cover all the the ingredients. You can stop there and eat it like a regular salad with a fork or you can turn it into a zeppelin. It's a bread baguette that they heat up by running it through a warmer. They cut off the end and hollow out the soft bread so only the baguette shell is left. They stuff the dressing covered salad inside the shell. You eat it like a sandwich. Sooo good!
Great restaurant. The metro cobb zeppelin is my go to. But, I'm not giving this place 5 stars because of the food, although it's great. Shout out to Daylen, an employee that works there. This dude has always been super nice to me. I like to keep the ends of the bread to eat before I start my sandwich. I didn't ask him to include the top piece the last time I ordered because he was working hard with multiple orders.. He remembered I liked them and included it. Not a word. I looked down and saw the top inside the wrapping. I had to come back and thank him. Employees like him make a restaurant great.
I placed a DoorDash order that came out to $40 and they forgot all my dressings for my bowls that I ordered, this is very frustrating because you can’t eat a salad without the dressing. I drove all the way from my job to the store to get the dressing and the manager just gave me the dressing with no apology. it defeated the whole purpose of me door dashing. Waste of time, money and gas. Very angry.
First timer. Ordered a build your own zeppelin. Tasted pretty bland, but might be due to my chosen ingredients. I'll definitely try another item. Healthy, filling food. Ordered online, got there quickly and it was already ready and waiting. Nice employees. Food is overpriced, but you can get a variety of flavors and healthy ingredients in your meal. Will recommend this place. Wish it were cheaper so I could come more often.
I love the bread. The salad choices are great. If you want meat with it, it gets a little pricey.
Oh no. My husband and I paid $30 for two salads with chicken & one bag of chips and the chicken DOES NOT look like the chicken pictured on their website, it's the same gross, cheap, cold, processed chicken you would get on any fast food salad in a drive through. The salad had way too much dressing-- the ventilation in the place was so loud that I guess the guy couldn't hear us when we said to stop and both times he gave it three extra "passes" of dressing after we told him to stop. Both were swimming in dressing, exactly what I didn't want. It was gross; it cost so much I tried to eat it anyway, but neither of us came close to finishing. There was a big lettuce core in my salad. At that price???I've had better salads from the cooler at ALDI for $3. I'll never forget how awful BZ was.I'm glad some of you like it, BUT for anyone who looks at their website-- just know your salad is NOT going to look like that, and for the price you're better off ordering from a real restaurant where at least you'll get real chicken.
They used to chop up the ingredients by hand and now everything is pre chopped - there was something better about the old way. In addition, the chocolate chip cookies used to be the best in the world then the recipe changed and now they’re average. Nostalgic for early bread zeppelin
We were attracted to this place seeing all the customers coming and going. Well worth the visit and overdue as we had just the right meal. Stuffing the salad into the roll is a great idea. I posted several photos of our experience.
Love this place. I wish we had one in Addison/Carrollton .....
