This restaurant is exactly what the Joshua/Burleson border needed. I grew up in Joshua and visit my parents here once or twice a year, and I’ve been to Torque twice this week. The food is really good and the proportions are big. The drink specials are awesome too! I’m personally a big fan of the refried beans. I’ve watched restaurants come up and down so many times in this area, so I just really want this one to stick around! You just have to follow the signs when you go in because it’s a new development so they don’t fill up both buildings in the middle of the week day.
Really had a great experience and was pleasantly surprised by seeing vegan beef and cheese on the menu to select with their menu items. I enjoyed the flavor and great presentation of their food dishes. Reasonably priced dishes and friendly servers. I really appreciate that you can pay your bill with your phone camera by scanning their receipt.
Was excited to try a new place in town but left disappointed. The atmosphere was great, waitress was great and so was the salsa. My husband had the street tacos with hamburger meat and I had the knucklehead tacos. I asked to sub the lettuce with cilantro, which they did, but the tacos only had meat with cilantro and tomatoes, no cheese and the meat was a bit greasy and was not flavored at all, very bland. Hubby said the refried beans were good but the same with his street tacos, zero flavor on the meat. I must say that the onion rings were really good though but we were disappointed with the lack of flavor.
Just walked out unhappy AGAIN. I wanted to give you another try after I left a bad review previously. 645 pm on a Sunday. Only 3 tables and 2 bar customers. I was happy to get my beer, but 20 minutes later, I still had not had my food order taken . The waitress kept telling me I'll be right back..3 times shesaid. I believed her.I could have ordered my food on the app, but why when I'm sitting in YOUR restaurant. The wait made me mad, but seeing the other waitress talk to a customer for the entire 20 minutes was ridiculous. No communication between the two servers as to "please help my side. " Your restaurant stillConsistently disappoints.
I thought I would get a friendly hello when I walked into Torque Grill and Cantina at 4:55 pm today. Nothing! Waited! Nothing! Finally, a girl rode upon a broom. I should say, show up carrying a broom. But with the attitude she had, she should have been riding it!She said I needed to go out the backdoor. She pointed out the back door. I followed her pointed finger. I ended up outside, but there was a sidewalk to follow to the next building. Once inside the next building, I waited and waited. The building was empty, but someone showed up and pointed to a table after a while. There was no menu available. Waited. When the waiter did show up, he said to look on my phone. Looking over the phone menu and deciding what to eat took a few minutes, everything looked good. I decided I ordered the Impossible burger with cheese and a side of fries. While I waited for my food, they served me chips and hot sauce. They were good. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive at my table. There was no cheese, one small slice of tomato, three small pieces of pickles, no mayo, and a burn bun. See pictures! The fries were good!Recommendation: Save your money and go to Burger King,
I went in on a Sunday for a beer and apps... the beers were great, but the apps not so much. I ordered fried pickles and onion rings and they came out looking like dehydrated banana chips. If you look at my pics, that is how they came. We didn't even touch them yet. I'm nit expecting it to look fancy but at least make it look like it wasn't taken off someone else's table. We got 4 whole onion rings and couldn't eat them.
My family and I have been traveling around Texas for about a week and this place is hands down the best food and service we've had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic Texmex. It is very clean and has a cool car theme. Side note, they have great vegan options!
Stopped in for lunch on new years day with the Warrior Riders MC. Of enjoyed the food and service. Yes they were Shor handed but it was great. The owner is awesome!
Tried this place for the 1st time tonight. Was expecting more of a Mexican resturant when we got there, but found it to be something a little different, not really sure how to describe the place. Food was unique but satisfying, best onion rings that we have had in a while. I had the stacked enchiladas aka Radiator Lasagna - Delicious. When you order a bowl of quest or soup be prepared - the thing was huge. I wanna know where I can get some of them bowls. Nice place, definitely will be back, gotta try some other things listed on the menu.
The food was delicious! Salsa was probably one of the best restaurant salsa’s I’ve had! Definitely would come back to try more. I only remove a star because the staff seemed a little confused and we had different servers asking the same questions as one who just took our order(what drinks we wanted, what margaritas we ordered, ready to order..etc) overall they were very friendly!
