This place is famous for serving small portions of catfish yet prices are high. Recently, I saw on their menu a seasoned bake-like two piece catfish with rice and two sides approximately $15 and it looked so delicious. I ordered it to go, got home and it was only one piece. What a rip off! I wished I had taken a picture and posted it. Very disappointed! ?
The food was hot and fresh, very delicious. The staff was even better than the food! They were busy but so efficient. The food came out hot and our every need was met. We will be back for sure!
My wife and I went. She got her food and I waited another 15 minutes for mine. The boiled shrimp was obviously frozen already cooked they reboiled for way too long. Couldn't get the shells off of them without tearing them completely apart. Gave it a second chance same outcome. Thankfully the lady at the register was able to refund nearly all the money spent on those. Still shouldn't be charging market prices for that.
Worth a second review because well,, I love this place.. fresh fried, nice and hot and the perfect place to sate the fried fish craving. Here's a pic!Man... this really hit the spot. I had the Shrimp and Catfish basket and it was super good. Good portions and cooked just right. Im gonna be craving this place all the time now. Also, the service was great, friendly and kind. I appreciate that. Thank y'all! Til next time!
Was not impressed, had the shrimp and gator. The girl that took our order messed up one of the orders and my daughter ended up with 2 orders of popcorn shrimp instead of 1 order of popcorn chicken. The corn and potatoes had way too much seasoning on them, which made them gritty flavor was ok but couldn't eat them cause it was over powering. When she brought our food out she didn't know which was the shrimp and gator and the shrimp and crawfish. All in all the shrimp and gator was ok. We went in with high expectations since we like seafood and Cajun style menus but was let down.
I wanted snow crab but they didn't have it, I wanted crab and shrimp boil they didn't have it, I wanted oysters and they didn't have it. So I settled and asked what they recommend and waited more than half an hour for fish that was a bit bland. Just a bad experience and it wasn't even busy.
Terrible. Food is okay. Service is terrible. Wait a total of 7 minutes and 21 seconds to place an order. No one in the parking lot. Husband goes in, no one greets him or attempts to be kind or acknowledge him. I guess they don't want our money. We usually order po'boys and the bread is way different from the bread when you sit in. I would give no stars.
I came in with quite an appetite but was very disappointed by the lack of value here. The mahi mahi was over-seasoned (super salty) and so, so tough! It just seemed like they were in a rush to thaw it out and nuked it in the microwave. It was the first time I've had mahi mahi that felt like rubber. I gave up on the second piece. Coleslaw was just okay. The green beans were absolutely *drenched* in salt. My request to omit the fried hush puppies - due to an allergy - was completely ignored. The ambiance was off-putting, too. Dirty floor in the dining area, loud and obnoxious music blasting over louder guests. I found myself eating more quickly just so I could leave sooner. But, hey, they have cherry Coke.
Nice staff but not the place for crab legs. 40 for 2 tiny snow crabs with no meat. Good fried fish and chicken strips but I'm disappointed in the seasoning and the amount you get for crab legs.
Great food!! Reminds me of N.O.L.A. (SERIOUSLY) Don't know about other locations but Burleson is seriously good eats
