I just left without having dinner. I really wanted the steak finger strip plate with mashed potatoes. The atmosphere was really cold and segregated- I kid you not! The whites were seated on the left and blacks on the right. (Of course, I was seated to the right, as well.) This would have been my first time dining in; I’ve always ordered carryout. No one came by to take my order or to offer water so after 15 minutes I left. The non- black lady parked next to me emphasized that she loved this place and after all the name is “ Cotton Patch”. WowCheck out the photo.
We got take out. We ordered salmon and it was horrible. We ordered a house salad and only got the blu dressing. Prior to Covid the food was excellent! The chicken and dumplings was not from scratch anymore. Very disappointed!
We have such fond pre-covid memories of Cotton Patch. Seemed like they were a little short staffed on our visit on 4/16/22. Food was on par with prior post-covid visits. I ordered a “Texas Sweet Tea” off of the adult drink menu (Looked like their version of an LIT), and when it arrived it looked nothing like the photo on the menu (was very yellow). It tasted more like lemonade, very tart, and not “strong” at all. When we asked about it, we were assured that the drink was correct. The waitress did offer to get me something else, but who wants to send a drink back. Note to self, not the place to go to get adult beverages. Stick to the fried food items.
We stopped in later in the evening around 9ish and they already had most of the restaurant ready to close. We actually asked what time they closed since it looked like we might have read the door wrong. We ordered cornbread and chicken noodle soup. The service was still good, the food was good and it came out super fast!
Ice day. Only 2 waitresses. My chicken fried chicken with cream gravy was served cold. I had to send it back. The fresh one they made me was piping hot!
I made a to go order. Get home and I'm missing items. I drive 20 mins there and back. So I call to inform them what happened and that I'm coming back. I'll be bringing the messed up order and I'd like it replaced. My food will be stone cold by the time I make the trip. Girl on phone is rude and places me on hold for 15 mins. Comes back and says manager is to busy to speak with me. Ha! That's fine I'm 5 mins from there I'll speak with him when I get there. Girl says well if he isn't to busy. Ha! Your real professional there.I walk in and she knows it's me who she spoke to as soon as she sees me so she grabs the manager. Well he has excuses. Can't replace my order. Can't give a refund because that goes through corporate at takes weeks. And I have to understand these are high school kids they don't know how to deal with customers. Wow!!! Bet I'll be calling corporate ASAP
Food was good. Sides were hot and excellent however chicken entree was warm and dry but Chipotle maple sauce made it palatable. Just a little disappointed. Zoe(female server) was exceptional in all aspects.
Feb 16 2022 ordered meals on phone for my wife to pick up. She waited an hour to get it. Terrible. but not the waitresses fault. All dine in customers seemed good just take out.
The waitress somewhat friendly. However she seem to rush us with our order. Secondly my companion continually asked for honey butter but received salted butter instead (twice). Thirdly the waitress assumed we would be paying on one ticket after she took our order. Thirdly she took a very long time to refill our drinks as well as bring a carry out container. Fourth when paying via credit card the was not an option to calculate a appropriate tip. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE in customer service. Finally as for the menu. There no prices posted. Would I recommend? This was by far my worst experience at a Cotton Patch. My Wife and and my son ordered salad. My sons salad came way wrong including no chicken and full of tomatoes that were requested to leave off. NO BIG DEAL.... BUT. His bacon bits were so burnt it made it unedable. (We had already added the ranch and mixed it in.) My chicken fried stake meal was missing a side. I asked for it twice before it was brought to me. When my steamed veggies were brought to me they were undercooked. Well look at the photo lol.
