HORRIBLE FOOD! IM SICK! So is my husband!! Almost immediately after eating it. THE BEEF TASTES OLD MICROWAVED AND CANNED. NOW THAT IM LOOKING IT SEEMS IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS PLACE. THEY CHARGED $40 without an itemized receipt and I didn’t get $40 worth of food. I saw on the reviews that someone else had this problem and said that they charged 20% tip secretly. The taco salad wasn’t even half full and had 5 little pieces of lettuce on it. SUCH A RIP OFF!!!!!
My husband and I were driving to San Antonio and decided to stop at Chavelo's Mexican Restaurant. Don't let this small restaurant fool you, it's great!! My husband is picky with Mexican food and he loved this place. The service was amazing!!! Our first server was nice and our waitress was amazing!! They were all bilingual which was nice. My husband ordered the mixed fajitas plate and I got cheese enchiladas. The micheladas are good too. If you're in this area I definitely recommend stopping at Chavelo's. We'll definitely be back. ?
Very good Mexican food.I did not like the red tomatoes sauce that had no flavor to it.The in house made salsa (the spicy) one was delicious. It’s dark red/brownish.Menudo was fresh and was delicious. I only wished they served it with diced up Chile Serrano on the onion cilantro plate so one can choose to put it in there menudo.Employees are great and friendly and very attentive. Great service.Muy buena comida. El menudo estaba fresco y no muy grasoso. Salsa estaba buena y picante.Nomas le falto chile serrano al menudo pero estaba muy bueno.
DO NOT EAT HERE! WORST SERVICE & QUALITY OF FOOD IN BUDA!lunchtime- ordered ground beef crispy taco plate to go. $15.The plate does not come with Rice or beans. Instead you get 3 EMPTY taco shells & accompanied of tomato & lettuce in the box. Also a cup of meat. Not sure what type of meat but it was fatty and greasy and felt like rubber. Called to speak with Manger who did not care. He just hung up the phone on me.WARNING: DO NOT EAT HERE!
Poor quality of food, hygiene of environment, and service (including being charged more than listed price and reciept on two occasions) . I have gone several times, in hopes of supporting local business owners, so it saddens me to decide not to do so with Chavelo's owner and staff. Despite the great location and beautiful trees in the outdoor seating, I would highly recommend not going to this restaurant. I hope this feed back is taken by the business and chances are made. It would be a delight to support the owner and staff in the future if changes are made.
I come here most Sundays with my boyfriend. It’s kinda a tradition now. We love coming here every time. Great food, good prices, extremely satisfied. Never have I had a bad experience at Chavelo’s. 10/10 recommend.
Incredibly friendly and fast staff! Enjoyable patio with a fun atmosphere! Food is a 10/10! I highly recommend!
My family lives in Buda, so when I visit we try to come eat here. Food and drinks are great. Staff is greater. Small on the inside but we've never had an issue getting a table. This restaurant allows for all of us to get together and catch up! Definitely a good time with family here.
Had the huevos rancheroBig serving. Place has lots of room for swating. And there on the ball with Service too!
This place has become our staple! For the past couple weekends we have visited. So good!
