Messina Hoff is first & foremost a winery. That they have a space to serve food is ancillary, & really is more of a place to store wine & demonstrate how well the wine pairs with food. The regional American menu is quite good, with options ranging from the very familiar (e.g. beef tenderloin steak, salad with dried cranberries) to the somewhat familiar (e.g. roasted duck breast, risotto with mushrooms). You are unlikely to find anything that could be considered adventurous. While the execution of the menu items can be haphazard (my dish was overcooked to the point of nearly being ruined, but everyone else’s food came out satisfactorily), everything we had was - admittedly - tasty, & the portions are gernerous. The day we were there, the restaurant appeared to be breaking in a new staff. Taking this in stride, we simply enjoyed the atmosphere along with a bit more wine. We had a wonderful time. We plan on returning, as we’re eager to experience Vintage House when it’s being operated at peak performance.

Food was great, I always enjoy our brunch on Sundays. The only thing I would recommend in the future would be that the correct credit card be charged for the meal. I made the reservation but Mike Harrod joined me for brunch and he gave his discover card to pay for the meal and my account on file was charged instead. I don't want a refund, as it doesn't matter to me who pays for the meal we come often. But for the future please pay closer attention to this detail. Thank you for allowing me to provide feedback.

Celebrated a special occasion with five loved ones. Nice place, but very disappointed with both service and food. It took a very long time for the meals to arrive after ordering. The server did apologize several times for the long delay, though. As for the food, the Veal Zitrone was less than mediocre. The chicken breast in the Chicken Parmigiana was extremely tough, dry, and hard to cut. The Shrimp Scampi was bland. And, the Bone In Ribeye was flavorless and stringy. All members of the party agreed that they will not return to this establishment.

We had a fantastic experience at Vintage House. Our food was fantastic!! My husband had the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection and I had the maple glazed duck, that was exquisite! We shared one of their incredible red wines. Our server was very helpful and his suggestions were in point! We are definitely going to go back soon!

The food is prepared impeccably... not over or under cooked, tasteful, and filling. The menu provides helpful wine paring suggestions. We love their wines! We don't get to dine here often but never disappointed.

Wenr here for our 41st anniversary, we have dined here on several occasions before. I must say we were disappointed this time due to several factors, 1st the entire nenu was not available to us because of staffing. Secondly our waiter while nice didn't seem to up to the task of reading the customer in regards to timing of the dining experience. 3rd , we thought the rear dining room could use a good cleaning and lastly it was very warm in the room to the point where we broke a sweat. What we did order was well prepared although skimpy on portions. Hopefully they can get back to its prior level of service and preparation.

Lovely grounds, well informed hostess at dining room and wine tasting.

Although our appointment time somehow got incorrectly entered, we were seated and served promptly upon our arrival. Service and food were excellent. We were very pleased. We intend to return in the future.

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my 75th birthday. Larkin, our server, was perfection. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, the Winery, and our wine selection. We assumed she was a server there for a long time, only to find out she has been working there for several months. She truly made our evening special!!!

Yes. Very nice staff. Great selection of entrees. Wines are not your standard fare with unusual tastes. Stayed overnight in the Napoleon room with a jazuzzi...oolala.
