Delicious food and great staff. Every time my family and I come here, we order lots of different foods. From the oysters to grilled fish to fried platters, everything is delicious. Their shipwreck sauce is one of a kind. Their staff is very attentive and quick with the drinks, whether it be water or otherwise. We love Shipwreck and will come again for our 4th time. Thanks Shipwreck!
Not sure what else to call that experience but absolutely fun and delish. We went to celebrate my FIL 88 birthday and the food was so good!! Service was beyond beyond great. Just Uber attentive and on it. Gabby and Brooklyn rocked our experience! We had a party of 12 and a few of us are strictly Gluten free #glutenfree (not by choice). Gabby, the manager on duty was very confident and specific as to how the food was cooked and even told us the fries have a designated frier. The professionalism and food was incredible. We will be back for sure!Thank you, Shipwreck!
This use to be one of my favorite places wether it was to kick back with a couple of friends after a long day at work with a few beers and boiled shrimp or a meal which has always been pretty much the same thing every visit due to it being the only place in town that offered fried crawfish tails plus they seemed to never disappoint with the quality flavor and quanity for the price. However this was not the case. Alot has changed the taste the portions the sides offered everything except they offered fried crawfish tails. So completely disappointed. I can't say I will return anytime soon .
Great food with the exception that the crab legs were a little overcooked. More challenging than usual to get the meat. The service was good, in addition to our server anyone that walked by asked if they could take something away or if we needed anything. The main course was brought out moments after the appetizer. I was still eating my dinner when asked if I needed anything else. I think that was my hint.. I felt like I was being rushed as the restaurant was packed and a line was forming.
My wife and I happened to be in Bryan, and a quick search found this place nearby. As a professional pirate, I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. The food was tasty, the menu interesting, and the service both friendly and attentive. I would definitely return if passing that way again. YARRR!
Had the jalapeño poppers for an appetizer, they were just ok. I had a bowl of crawfish ettoufee and my girlfriend had the boiled pot. The ettoufee was pretty good but was more of a crawfish creole than true ettoufee. There were 2 big pieces of bay leaf still in my bowl and that's not something that you want to bite into. My girlfriend's boiled pot was good.
From the jump, I'm keenly aware that the ocean is 150 miles from here. I factored that into my assessment. *******Shipwreck is a lively oyster bar with a neighborhood watering hole feel, in the best sense of the expression. The raw oysters and the coleslaw were delicious standouts. My fried fish was ok, if maybe a bit chewy (under a lamp too long??) The staff was super pleasant and the vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back.
I was looking forward to good seafood, as the reviews suggested. The service was, good the parking lot was full but my food was disappointing. I ordered the jumbo orange shrimp. My salad arrived with the wrong dressing ( no big deal in these times). My main course arrived and it was disappointing, the shrimp had no taste and the rice was dried and hard. The waitress offered to make it right but I decided to just box the food up and season it myself. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I’m not going back.
Delicious cajun food and fun atmosphere! Very nice laid back neighborhood bar and grill. The boil n' pot was prefectly cooked and seasoned. The keynlime pie tasted like lime and was so creamy! Such a wonderful food experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Great place to eat!
Are oysters the size of a quarter qualify for oysters? I know there are bay scallops which are small but oysters which only come from bays should be bigger than that.Meh. Long John Silver might be just as good or better. Our meal itself was a shipwreck.
