Beef tips are tender and full of flavor! I got yams and black eyed peas on the side. I know one thing, they know how to cook!!! Friendly and welcoming the entire time I was in there. I will be back!
I gotta say this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in town, especially considering the food is great and the cost is really good considering the amount of food you get. I think it was $12 for everything pictured with a Dr Pepper.
Oh my gosh!! If you want the best food ever come here! Not only are they super nice and friendly, the food is sooooo amazing. I have never had such yummy chicken before ? This place surly knows how to satisfy your belly. They different kind of plates each day and then barbecue on saturday. So there's always something different you can try on different days. I really like the concept, I think it's really clever! I sooo recommend them. Wednesday has amazzzinng smothered chicken! You gotta try it!
Perfect way to spend my birthday lunch! Delicious catfish and hamburger steak, but the sides…now that’s love! And just the sweetest people and atmosphere. Go see them!

One word after eating at Lamar & Niki’s - nap. This is that food that’ll have you reconsidering life because you’ll be ashamed of how much food you just ate and that your stomach doesn’t have room for more. Great people, feels like home.
Some of the best food I’ve tasted. Lamar and Niki are two very nice people that put their ankle in their food. They go above and beyond with service too, told me whenever I come to just call ahead and let them know Tony from college station was comin and they’ll help me out ??
I love the food and most of all the owners and the staff. However, I blame them for the weight I've gained for the past few years..just kidding..but the food is delicious. I love Lamar, Nikki (owners) and their wonderful staff, especially Billie Ross. She always have a ready smile. If you haven't visited them please go. I’m originally from South Carolina, so anytime I get a chance to eat Soul Food it’s a treat. We decided to try Lamar and Niki’s Pit BBQ and Soul Food while visiting our daughter in College Station, and the visit did not disappoint. I had the two meat BBQ, I chose ribs and brisket with potato salad, cornbread, onion and pickles, and cornbread dressing and gravy (you get to choose sides from a variety of options). My daughter had a 2 meat meal as well, she chose brisket, sausage, cabbage, green beans, and cornbread. My wife had a one meat meal, and she chose ox tail( which she had never eaten before), cabbage, sweet potatoes, and cornbread. The food was excellent! My only complaint is I ate too much! If you have never eaten here you are truly missing out on wonderful food. They owners and employees are some of the nicest and most inviting people if ever met. We will eat here again the next time we are in town.
Bruh. Hit that navigate to button and get on over to this amazing spot. The food is made with love, the ribs were awesome but the meatloafmm... I'm literally been dreaming about having that same meatloaf again. Let's talk about the staff it's small joint and they don't just welcome you in as a customer they treat you as family. Treat them with respect and come often. I've only been once and I absolutely love them and what they're doing here. Kudos guys and gals!!
