OMG!!! So dang delicious! Couple of buddies got the potatoe with chopped brisket, it was HUGE! And everyone in out group said it was the best BBQ we had while in Bryan TX
Not horrible but not good. Friendly staff, brisket was tender but dry and we asked for moist, pork ribs dry and tasted like dirty smoke, sausage was good, baked beans were overly sweet, BBQ sauce tasted like a commercial type sauce. Best thing they had was the sweet tea.
My Aunt took me here when I came to visit her, because I wanted to try brisket for the first time and she heard that this was the best bbq place in the world. I admit I was skeptical, but I wanted to try the brisket so badly. The guy who worked the counter recommended that I try brisket sliced, so that's what I got. The brisket looked great, but when I took that first bite, it was like I died and went to Heaven! The brisket was juicy, flavorful and so tender that I could easily break it apart with my fingers. Now, I want to attempt to make brisket myself, but the next time I find myself in Texas, I will definitely get my next bbq meal from Fargo's.
Fargo's is by far the BEST barbeque in the Bryan/College Station area. My husband does a good job with the pit, but when he's not up too the job Fargo's is the next best thing. Delicious, pit smoked barbecue without the work. From their dessert to the sides you can't go wrong. All is A+!!
AMAZING! from S.D. and wanted good southern BBQ. Was recommended this place. Brisket melted when eaten. Mixed greens my 7 yo loved. Everything was so good! My stomach hurt walking out from being full. Definitely coming back on my next trip to town.
According to hubby, the ribs melt in your mouth and need nothing—they stand alone—yams were excellent, baked beans were a great complement to the ribs. My chopped brisket sandwich was very flavorful and green beans were excellent. Took home half and chicken and some corn bread to try. Will definitely be coming back to Fargo’s!
I just think the BBQ here is incredible, especially the Brisket and Chicken. Both are very moist and exploding with flavor. In terms of sides, stick to the potato salad and beans. The BBQ sauce is a huge plus too. Any time I have friends and family visit from out of town, I put this place as the number one must go to BBQ in BCS.
Love their food, I always get their baked beans and it sounds crazy but the only way I can explain is... they taste like Christmas! No joke! Literally the best place to eat.
I haven't even gotten my food yet, but am putting a good review already because Mr. Alan put the biggest smile on my face when I was ordering with how welcoming he was. Very direct, nice and it smells amazing in here. Will update on the food.THE FOOD - the brisket was juicy, tender and perfect. Their sausage, I'm a fan. Their greens are spicy and flavorful, just like I like them. The Cornbread was some of the best I've ever had, sweet and moist. I'm too full now to try their peach cobbler, but it smells amazing.Overall, happy with our meal. We will be back.
There just isn't any BBQ better. They run out quickly but OMG, get some. I have to wonder if they run out all the time, why not plan for more? It's very sad when you show up at 4 and they're out. Makes a dude want to cry.
