I am giving the Bryan, TX location a 4 Star review only today, all because our Server Jimmy was slow and not attentive enough. We had a late lunch today...between 2 and 3pm, so the Restaurant wasn't overcrowded. He didn't stay on top of our drinks....or ask if we needed anything else after we finished our lunch Entrées. The food although was cooked or prepared to perfection. Everything that was meant to be Hot...was Hot and the Dinner Salad was Cold. I did not like the Ranch Dressing though, it isn't as tasty as it has been in the past. Too sour with no other flavors.? The chicken strips were awesome as the Dumplings.
Loved it here! Recommend the fruit cobbler ?
The food was bad. I had country steak and was cooked in oil than hadn’t been replaced in a long time. The meat was tough and stringy. I had okra and it also cooked in aged oil and was tough after sitting under a warming lamp too long. I use to always look forward to eating there but not anymore.
Mom and pop came for a visit and could not decide where to go but thankfully SO suggested this place. Yes!! Fried chicken, pork chops, grilled fish, they don't have a lot of dishes but their menu was varied enough to satisfy all of us. Mom had the fried chicken, dad had the salmon, SO had the catfish, and I had the fried pork chops. Everything was delicious. Service was quick and efficient. Glasses kept getting refilled, and the prices were not bad! Add to that the fact that they sell beer AND have a pay online option, it's a winner all around. Thank you!
Great service and great food! I believe we all ordered the Granny's Platter (or something similar) and it was so much more than I expected. Everything tasted great and the portions were just right. The store and restaurant were clean, orderly, and enjoyable. Best Cracker Barrel I've been to in a long time!
It was the first time I had a crackle barrel ever. I walked in, and it was so put together and clean with its cute little boutique, and all the employees were extremely welcoming and kind. Got sat down and immediately greeted to our order, and wow, was the food like my grandma used to make it. I got chicken fried chicken; let's just sum it up to delicious and will be coming back!!
I visited this location on March 16th at 11:30am.My family was seated immediately. Place was busy. Our waitress was great. Can't remember her name.Food came out in a reasonable time.I ordered the French toast with bacon and eggs. Was delicious.Other family loved what they ordered.Only issue was no straws for the children. But we managed.Give it a try.
The food was great and although a trainee accidentally spilled some water on my girlfriend the service was awesome too! They were quick to fix everything and even took 50% off our bill. Shane was a great server, accidents happen and they shouldn't overshadow your over-all experience! I hope the girl doesn't get in trouble.
Impeccable service, and the food was great! It was a little busy, but still received all food and drinks in a timely manner! I would recommend to bring family when they’re visiting CS. As a college student I wouldn’t regularly dine here though since it’s a little more expensive for a meal.
Simply horrible. My grits were absolute soup and not edible. A waitress who had her hair in a ponytail, was carrying a tray of food and with each turn of her head her hair touched the food. So disgusting, I hope those customers didn’t get sick.I generally like breakfast here, but doubt I will ever be back. God only know what the kitchen practices are??
