I used to enjoy Carneys, but I walked in with my Service Dog and was told that the dog had to be outside. After providing my dogs ID, I was told that I had to leave. They claimed I was being hostile. I wish the entire incident could have been avoided, but they refused to listen to me and proceeded to follow me out and trash talk me as I left.
We enjoyed it very much. Dog friendly with water dishes. Back outdoor area was relaxing and well shaded with plenty of seating.Food was also tasty and fresh. Server was delightful (Valerie?) And welcoming.If we were local this would be a frequent spot. Only draw back was the music was a little loud for how few ppl were there and it wasn't our desired tunes, but I'm sure they would have switched it if we'd asked.
A true pub for the people. Half price pints on Tuesdays!
Carneys hasn't changed much and I liked that. The dude that was bartending makes good drinks but maybe was having an off night. I hope that he's not always that impersonable. The guy waiting tables was more attentive and much more personable. Still rates 5 stars though.
The bartenders were great! Pool tables could use a little tlc but we played anyway. Had a good time.
It's a pleasant laidback atmosphere and they play good music. Still on our go-to list, but it's gone downhill a bit, perhaps related to COVID. Drinks are a bit spendy, which is fine if consistently good but not when you're erratic. Food has generally been good, but not the last couple of times; Well-done is not the default setting for a burger.
This place has both a front and back outdoor patio so dogs are welcomed! The staff is super nice and for the quality of bar food it ranks high. The burgers and buns are delicious and their selection of beer is good. Overall, always a great place to come have food and a beer with friends and family.
Carney's used to be a really divey place, but over the last 5-10 years it's now our go to bar for group hangs. They have a very decent beer selection, good pub food, and really great service/staff.It's a nice cozy bar that isn't trying to be super trendy or kitchy.

Decent atmosphere, surprisingly good food (might be the cook). Drinks a little pricy for a college town and service a bit slow. A group of us sat for about 20 minutes at a table without any service before moving over to the bar. The bar wasn’t busy for we were there around 7pm. This place is fun based on who you are with but expect sub-par service from the college aged bartenders.
