The Campfire restaurant is a part of the Stella hotel; and it is the only place to get food near this hotel. I didn't eat much here, but the appetizer/meal that I had - wasn't particularly good and seemed expensive for what I got. However, other meals may be better.
Interesting place-cool atmosphere. Wish the menu was larger but was able to find some delicious items. Will return!
Nice casually upscale vibe and the music wasn't too loud to enjoy dinner conversation. Food and service met the expectations of this higher-end experience. Prices are a bit high vs. comparable dining establishments but didn't scare us away when wanting a nice evening out.
Food was ok but service was terrible. I had to physically stand up like 4 times to go ask for cutlery, water, the check etc. First the waiter brings our food and does not bring any cutlery and does not come back for 20 minutes. Only when I stood up and complained did he come back. Then for the duration of our meal we had no drinks. For 40 minutes the waiter came outside but seemed to only be interested in chatting with his friend who where at a table, did not even acknowledge the rest of the tables. Again, had to stand up to ask the hostess for water. Same thing happened with the check. This place is not worth the price, there are so many other restaurants in town for the same price range with better attention and better food.
Nick was fabulous and so was the whole experience!! Thank you!
One of the best higher-end dinners I’ve had in College Station! The steak and ribs were both out of this world, and the smoked cheddar mac and cheese was delicious! 5 stars, for sure!! Campfire is now our go-to for special occasion dinners!
Sunday Easter Brunch didn’t include any breakfast items. Everything had way too much garlic. Shrimp was tasteless. Food items were very limited and way too expensive. Very disappointed ☹️
We were very disappointed with Easter Brunch. We had reserved a table for breakfast there originally, but they called to say it was now a $75/pp brunch. We were fine with that. However, when we got there at 10am, it was dinner foods only. Everyone was disappointed. The food was an odd assortment for such a high priced meal, and the shrimp looked off. One person asked if they could make her some eggs, and they charged her an extra $19 for a breakfast plate, on top of the $75 brunch. What restaurant would, first, not offer the "br"eakfast part of brunch and then, second, charge a premium price to get eggs? We did get the $19 removed from the $600 bill, but the manager argued with me that our diner did get items from the brunch line and did get the egg breakfast order. I was appalled, and everyone felt a little weird about the very high price for a poorly executed event - we were happy to see each other so wanted to keep smiles on our faces, while at the same time everyone felt like they hadn't properly had an Easter morning. We all enjoyed each other, but the Stella hotel lost the business of three parents and three Aggies. We won't be back.
Good brunch food and a pretty location. I got the pulled pork chilaquiles and my partner got the two eggs plate with pancakes. Everything tasted nice, maybe a little underseasoned. No wait time even on a Sunday morning during post-church rush which was appreciated.
Had our wedding party dinner here on 3/19/22 and it was the best meal I’ve had in a very long time! We stayed at the Stella Hotel and had eaten there for lunch the day before and it was great. Our waiter was NICK and he was amazing. Worth requesting him when there. He was knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. The decor and vibe of the restaurant was perfect for our small group. I had the short ribs and I can not even describe how perfect it was. My husband and a few others in our party had an off menu steak that was equally amazing. Our whole party of 8 unanimously agreed that our meal was one of if not the best meal we’ve ever had. The restaurant stored our wedding cake and brought it out for us on a beautiful wooden block with added decor to make the presentation even more special than how we brought it. HIGHLY recommend this place! Sadly we didn’t take pictures of our food but trust when I say it was AMAZING!
