Excellent cocktails. Not a fan of the cigar smoke, but that's part of the experience and would not keep me from coming back.

We love stopping in here for a couple drinks when we are in town. The bartenders are the great, the vibe is chill, and they usually have live music which we have loved each time. Worth a stop!

Was staying at the La Salle hotel and read about this bar. We got in late from Santas Wonderland and wanted to go check it out. Originally we waited to see someone else go in because we were nervous about knocking haha, but when we didn’t see anyone we went ahead and knocked. The bar is really cool and the bartenders working were super nice. Got there just before closing unfortunately so we were only able to try one drink. Best whiskey sour I’ve ever had. Will stop in again when I’m back this way

Great atmosphere, great music, and great drinks. The bartenders are top notch and make an awesome old fashioned. Definitely recommend just have cash to get in the door.

We had a nice evening enjoying the live music and tasty cocktails. They were out of a few ingredients which limited a few signature drink selections. Bartenders were fun to talk to and discuss bourbon. We look forward to returning.

A classic speakeasy feeling with an offputting cover charge (CASH ONLY) that is slightly offset by reasonably priced, well made drinks. The room is like a long hallway, with one table seating and sets of couches with small tables between them. A musician plays at one end of the room and the bar is along one side in the middle. Check out the bar menu online before you go, but be aware they may not have what you see (-1 star for being unable to make a Mai Tai.. pretty classic drink). $10 per person cover charge just to enter, which sucked for us because we had people who weren't even drinking. Cocktail drinks average $10 each, which is quite reasonable for a speakeasy. They are made well, with slight variants on traditional recipes. My Sazarac was a little light (slightly too heavy on the bitters) and my Vieux Carre too sweet. But overall, I was delighted that they banned smoking (many reviews mention cigar smoke which is still faintly in the air but no longer permitted) and the atmosphere was great to spend a date or an hour or two with friends if you can justify the cover charge. The place was packed on a Friday night before an A&M home game and it took well over 10-15 minutes to wait for the bar line.

Great little secret hidden under the hotel. There may or may not be some sort of password to get into five knocks but who is to say. If there was such a place, the drinks and the staff would be incredible. They no longer allow smoking because it sets of the fire alarms. It would be a great quiet place to hang with friends in a bar that isn’t crazy.

They said we were lucky because it was almost alone and commonly it's full of people. Well, I have to talk about my experience and it was great. I'd only suggest to control the music volume some times during the night because you could wish listen to music while you're talking, not yelling. I hope to be back soon. Well done.

The worst.

I’ve played here multiple times. It has always proved to be a cool place where people can chill..
