We have occasion to travel from Houston to Waco every couple of months. Lunch time usually falls about the time we are passing near Bryan. Though it often means that we have to wander a bit off the main highway we always go to TripAdvisor to look for a special place for lunch. Thanks to the TripAdvisor community we always score a real gem. 3rd On Main was no exception. Great food, great selection, great service, good portion size. Really wish we had something similar near our home. I had the corn meal pancakes which were delicious. Recommend very highly.

Terrible experience. first don’t know why they call it Bourbon chicken all it was grill chicken with cheese and avocado. Secondly the worst grits ever, I asked to add butter and they soaked it in what taste like butter you eat with crab legs, not even Edible and cold soggy fries. They said 15min for it to be ready took me 5 to get there and it was already done. Never again
Located in downtown Bryan, a nice area to visit. I had the dish called “The Morning After” which is cornmeal pancakes topped with pulled pork and eggs. Absolutely fantastic combination of items. I love those cornmeal pancakes which are crunchy/crispy vs a standard pancake. No syrup needed on this dish. A side of very crispy (thank you) diced potatoes was also good.
We stopped in for breakfast on this past Sunday morning and really enjoyed it. The place is small--you order at the counter and then choose your table. We really enjoyed just watching the people and the staff. Once we were seated we had a very pleasant and efficient waitress. The kitchen was efficient, too, so the food came out quickly, and it was excellent. I had a bacon, egg, cheese, and potato breakfast taco and my husband had Just the Basics. I sampled it, and it was delicious. The food was inexpensive as well, so all-in-all, it was a fantastic breakfast experience.
Have visited this place so many times and the chicken is always burnt. I really don’t know why I came back. No exaggeration, every time I’ve been here the chicken was over fried and burnt. Brown haired girl with the glasses is a great server, though and she deserves better than burnt chicken coming out of the kitchen.
So love the food. Only our 2nd time. Really tasty and highly recommend. Got the pulled pork fries. Wish pork had more meat included but still awesome. Fries excellent. Highly recommend.
The food is always good, as is the service.The avocado salad with blackened chicken was really good - and there was enough for two meals. So no complaints.
Food is great but staff was rude the first two times I visited. I have since visited two more times and staff was fantastic. Whiskey chicken sandwich was perfect.
