Amazing BBQ, great sides and service! Not your typical run of the mill bbq, it’s special for sure! Make a trip over and your tastebuds will thank you!
I’ve heard many great things about this place so a friend and I decided to check it out today for lunch! Super cute little food truck style dining with tables/umbrellas. The BBQ was incredible! I had the 2 meat plate with ribs and brisket, a side of the sweet cream corn and the brisket Mac n cheese. Really delicious! The owner was friendly and obviously a pit/grill master! Can’t wait to go back!

First off the 5 starts are just for the customer service alone, I was traveling back out of town and the owner was kind enough to set some meat to the side for me.This bbq was amazing, perfectly seasoned to allow the flavor of the meat to come through. The brisket is the star, ribs and sausage are still delicious, it melts in the mouth and has the perfect amount of fat. The owner was so kind to include the creamed corn and cookies order, all the sides are bomb. The sauce has a little twang, almost seems mustard based, which I enjoyed. If you're in the area, def give them a visit. You won't be disappointed!
Had 1976 for the first time today.This was the best BBQ we have had to date in BCS. Had brisket, ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. The wife had the same but had the corn instead of beans. Meat was very tasty and tender.Sides were excellent and the corn was wonderful.The gentleman that owns it is very friendly and courteous.We will most definitely be back.

We had the brisket mac & cheese and chili — wow!!! The mac & cheese had such great smoky flavor. The chili was excellent and a huge serving on Fritos! Highly recommend!! I’m not a huge brisket fan (I know, I know, I hear the collective gasp of Texans everywhere) but I loved this food. Looking forward to our next visit!
Great food, especially the potato salad and brisket. Did catering for us once too, everyone loved it.
1976 BBQ is some of the best I have ever had. The brisket melts right on the palate, and the ribs are exquisitely seasoned and smoked. The beans were amazing too, and I can't wait to try the potato salad! Bo is also an incredibly friendly and well informed pit master who is happy to talk about his craft, from the wood he uses, to his choice of organic, sustainable meat. His passion for good BBQ couldn't be more apparent. This is a stellar pit stop, so if you're in College Station, you have to check this place out!
