Wow! What a great restaurant! We drove into town and wanted to grab some great Mexican food and was suggested that the Toddle Inn was a Brownsville Staple. We were not disappointed, we are from Georgetown Texas and can’t get this type of food anywhere back home. The fajita tacos, enchiladas and waffles were great. They had a great variety for my wife and two little girls. We are on are way to South Padre but going to make a trip back to get one more round before we head home. The food, service and time to get seated was 5 Star. Thanks Toddle Inn!!!
Delicious! Ordered the Migas Monterrey and it did not disappoint! The bits of tortilla were nice and crispy/crunchy not soggy at all. They also weren’t greasy like they came straight from a fryer. The refried beans and salsa were bursting with flavor. I came on a Monday morning and the place was packed!!! Prices were fair. Definitely recommend !
This place has been here for years. I went here on the recommendation of a trusted local source. The service was excellent. The prices were fantastic. The owner was there and super friendly (he even have us some strawberry-banana pancakes for free, I think because we had a table full of kids). The star of the show was the flour tortilla. Seriously. Go there and get a breakfast taco. The flour tortilla will haunt my taste buds for the rest of my life. I may drive back down to Brownsville just to taste it again.
Toddle Inn has been my husband’s favorite restaurant for breakfast since childhood. Even now, when he hasn’t lived in Brownsville for nearly 10 years, we never wonder where we’ll go to breakfast when we’re in town. I’ve always gone along with the plan and always enjoyed my breakfast. But this trip, I tried the new Churro Waffle (I’ve had it two mornings in a row) and hands down, Toddle is now my favorite breakfast place too. No picture because I was too busy eating!
Customer service is excellent. We had a party of four and ordered a variety of dishes. Everything was very good but was a bit disappointed in my French toast. It did taste good but the bread used was not what I expected. It was just your basic sliced white bread. I would suggest they use thicker sliced bread like Brioche, French Baguette, and Challa.. other than that small personal preference. It was great. I would definitely go back. Again other food was fantastic, it's very clean, and customer service is excellent.
After eating here you will want to come back. You will see as I saw that the environment of the workers is friendly. Mark Perez (Manager and Part Owner) not only shows the upmost professionalism but you can see the dedication he has not only for his restaurant but for his staff. Helping cook, helping clean doing anything he can to help everyone around him. The restaurant and workers were clean and organized. All of the food looks appetizing and fresh. Not to mention very reasonably priced. I want to respectfully thank Mark Perez and Cecy (Our waitress) for making it special and making me feel at home. Thank you both for making my Birthday Rememberable.
Would definitely recommend for a breakfast in Brownsville. Was able to be seated immediately even though very busy. Service was great, friendly and fast. Prices for the amount of food you get were amazing. The silver spur breakfast taco was delicious and huge and only about $6. Pancakes were big and very good. Would definitely recommend.
The best breakfast in town! The Chilaquiles were amazing (with chicken) my husband had to order an extra side of refried beans because he couldn't get enough of them they were so good! Giant homemade flour tortillas and salsa!

First time here and I absolutely loved it. Great prices, wholesome staff, great environment. Definitely going on my list of preferred places to eat. Thank you
