The food is delicious! Have tried several of their dishes and no complaints. I also enjoy the atmosphere. Our waiter was great. However, their front service is subpar. I made a reservation for 10, but only 8 were showing. When we arrived, they told us they couldn’t seat us because half of our party wasn’t here (I told them it would only be 8, and there was 4 of us there, 3 adults and 1 child). When we told them this they said the child didn’t count because he sits in a high chair, but the child is a 4 year old, waaay to big for a high chair. There were 3 hosts and they all kept whispering between each other not knowing how to respond or what to do. It definitely seemed like they didn’t want to seat us, even though I made a reservation and even put down my credit card info! When they finally take us to a table, they take us to a table of 6, when we told them 3 times it would be 8. I don’t understand the hassle if I made a reservation to begin with, and there were soooo many tables open. They need hosts who know what they are doing.
Wow, this is the hidden gem of Brownsville. Came here with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting the experiance that is Terra’s. If you are looking for a place to enjoy great drinks and foods, then Terra’s is the place.
This place deserves 5 stars, but the service time and lack of coordination for orders robs them that extra star. The gentleman that helped us out was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but if the kitchen doesn’t bring out the orders in order, it is not his fault. He mentioned something about servers down, but other tables who arrived way after us got their drinks and orders first. Drinks took an extremely long time, had to ask for them a couple of times. You have to order and pay first then sit. The food was FREAKIN’ AMAZING! The naan appetizer was to die for. Guava mimosa amazing. Nutella pancakes were just that. The FRENCH TOAST was DELICIOUS! Chilaquiles bar super delish as well. I will definitely go back and give it another try, hopefully the service and the kitchen issue has been addressed. WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND.
The pork belly tacos are excellent and so are the drinks. Just don’t order their coffee because they will serve it to you cold even if you ask for it fresh. Their mole is way to sweet and their ribeye is way too thin and small. Not worth the $30 bucks. And don’t even order their enchiladas or appetizers ???
The food is great but every time we come they want to give us a reserved table another thing is they don't have high chairs for kids.
I love dining at Terra’s! The best drinks. The food is *chef’s kiss* I really enjoyed my Valentine’s Day there. Highly recommend.
Our server Felix was amazing. We loved the atmosphere. Good sized portions. If you’re looking for a place with an upscale vibe, but chill and excellent cocktails, this place is it.
A restaurant like nothing the valley has. The vibe of this place was amazing. It is small but the food and drinks are full of flavor. Prices are spot on. Not cheap but not over priced. Definitely going to revisit and recommend to all. Staff was attentive and had great recommendations
The restaurant was freezing cold, it was hard to relax. My husband ordered the salmon and said it was very tasty and he loved it. I had the Alfredo which was good but could have been so much better. The Alfredo comes with shrimp, chicken and sausage. The sausage takes over all of the flavor. I think it would have been better to keep it simple. The Pineapple cilantro Moscow mule was pretty amazing. Will definitely go back but need to wear winter clothes and not order the pasta.
Terribly over priced as much as it is over rated. The service was terrible but they kinda tried a little. Very limited selection on the drinks from the bar. (No Jack Daniel's, no pineapple juice, No white Russian mixtures) The manager suggested something that tasted like they put nyquil in some coffee. So we agreed to try it, Thankfully they didnt charge us for that drink as we didnt drink it. And a few people saw me spit my first sip back into the glass. The food was decent but was no excuse for the wait time. They definitely lack management in the kitchen although I will say the food was tasty and displayed strong tasty character and had good flavors but was no excuse for the time it took for our order. I was hoping the manager would at least dock some price down for the wait time and the fact that our pancake order was wrong and should been known that raspberries are red and black berries are black. I wont be eating at this establishment again and if anyone asks me my views I will tell them to go elsewhere to avoid the disappointing prices and time. I paid 96 bucks for 4 different cocktails, an order of chicken and waffles, the rib eye chilaquiles, and one barbecue taco with a black burnt flour tortilla. I left a dollar tip. And left with a bad taste in my mouth and a disappointed dining experience. ?
