This place is always a must every time I visit Brownsville with my family.The chilaquiles are the bestI get the Chilaquiles Verdes and the picaditas mixtasThey also have amazing fresh sweet bread to drink with coffee while you wait on your food!They don’t make horchata (bummer)And the tortilla chips are only free after 12pmI love the ambiance and everyone is always nice and friendly.
Easily accessible off the expressway.Parking is a little tight and there is usually a little bit of a wait.The hospitality is on point. I’ve been there a few times and the food is consistently very good. Eggs are cooked to perfection and the table side coffee and steamed milk service is amazing.The pastries are so decadent and the entrees are straight from central Mexico.Come hungry and enjoy!

Do not get the Caldo de Res to go! I paid $11 for hard rice, Squash, bone/tendon, and a bite of meat. It might be better quality if you eat it there but this was definitely not worth the trip or money.
Really great pastries! I enjoyed my spinach and mushroom omelette which came with refried beans and a iceberg and tomato salad.
I got the food prepared as I requested. I got the seat I requested. Great customer service.
My food was cold and by the time they reheated it I had lost my appetite. That had never happened before. We always liked the food . Hope next time is good. The waitress was very attentive and nice.

A favorite every time we visit Brownsville! The pastries are awesome! We love the authentic Mexican breakfast choices. The lunch & dinner entrees always are delicious. Service is very helpful and friendly. So glad we found this gem.
