This place is an upgrade from Rutledge burgers. Don't get me wrong Rutledge is great but they don't serve anything else. Now here at la gueras, they sell the same burger cause the owner quit Rutledge and opened this place but they also have fries, hotdogs , nachos, chili cheese fries and more. Highly recommend, it's at an easier access area too.
Dude you have to try these Mexican style burgers. Smaller so more affordable, but you can do up to triple meat, triple cheese, triple ham. Exquisite
Perfect burger. ? Onion rings were great too! Melt in your mouth paddies. Very clean place with bathrooms. But no changing place for babies. They did have high chairs available. ?
Hands down my favorite spot for burgers in Brownsville. These guys have been making smash burgers before they were even popular. I've been a fan since their original spot in front of the bus station and have returned almost every time I'm back in town. Do yourself a favor and get the "Triple" which is an OG menu item that consists of 2 patties, 2 cheeses, and 2 hams.

I've been blessed to have been introduced to La Güera's hamburgers maybe 8 years ago and any chance I get when in town I visit and hope that for some fateful reason I move back to the valley to enjoy all the delicious food that is only available in the valley like these amazing and simple burgers. These burgers are the no frills type of burger, nothing crazy just amazing. Trust me you will think of then often. I know I do.
This place has homemade hamburgers. They are small but the taste makes up for it. They also sell hot dogs, fries and chips. They no longer sell onion rings...I miss those! They have remodeled the dining area, its very spacious now. I believe they will be opening a bakery next door, soon.
Very good. My food was made to order so it was nice and hot. Very quick service and friendly staff ☺️
