This place was so filling, tasty, and healthy. The rolls were delicious, and the appetizers were really good too. You don't have to be used to spice to try the Jalapeño roll or the spicy edamame. Wait staff was very accommodating. I asked for iced green tea and they allowed me to mix in the hot tea with a glass of ice. Ask for Ozzy. Definitely returning!

Food was delicious as always. You can never go wrong with Kumori. All staff and management on point. Nice to see a well organized restaurant. You don’t get to see that very often. Everyone very attentive to our needs. Strongly recommend!

Food was great and the place is very well kept. Only down side was the servers. There's nothing wrong with hiring young people, if they good work ethic. However, in this case, you have a few servers in the background being boisterous. This is only my opinion, but for such a nice place, professional behavior is expected.

Ordered several items: 2 types of rolls, sunomono salad and 2 appetizers. Both the Ebi Spicy and Calamari were cold and the calamari was overcooked. The other items were very good. We had to wait 1 Hr to get our order in comparison to 30 min estimated time. Overall I would order again except for the calamari.

We had the pleasure of Chris being our waiter and he was so helpful and reliable! He checked on us often and apologized for the long wait on the food. He has a great personality and really loves what he does! Definitely made our night. ? wouldn’t have been as fun if anyone else had been our waiter!!!

This service ,from not going here sence the (democratic/pandemic),I know this place really changed its service to its customers they were on key with serving and the food was fresh and every order that was placed was just flying out the kitchen no wait time, no rice before food, BS ,but over all what that one chick (Stephanie review) below this one, I got to say from a guy like me that drops money for the best service this chick probably was finally craving food on a good pay day you know, but after reading her review trust me she underestimated, this place and it deserves a 5 star review and over all still the best sushi in the Brownsville area so to all bad reviews (middle finger) and to everyone working in kumori ,keep up the good work and will return soon ?☝️?

Excellent customer service I must say. My family & I reserved the private area for a family function yesterday 2/19/22. Best experience ever. Brandon was the best waiter all night. Our meals were out in time, always had our cups full & always with a huge smile on his face. Thank you Kumori.❤

We were seated quickly which was a positive. However, the booth was dirty. The floor was covered in food and trash. Even the tables beside it were covered with trash on the floor. The sushi was okay, nothing special. The workers were all on their phones. No sense of professionalism whatsoever.

I ordered 2 sushi rolls and a miso soup. The food was good. The miso soup was a simple broth - no mushrooms, tofu or seaweed. The lunch order arrived quickly and the service was great. Upon arrival all of the tables were wet and somewhat clean? You could see the smear lines from a wet towel on the tabletops. The booths were also wet. The floor was wet and slippery. I was told to sit anywhere and looked for the cleanest/driest table/booth available. It would not be difficult for them to improve their cleaning technique.

Our favorite place for sushi in the RGV. They always seem to have something new and the quality is usually never lacking. One point is the tap water and/or ice. It is not good. The iced tea, mixed drinks and just plain water suffer as a result of what we believe to be low quality tap water. The same thing happens to restaurants on South Padre Island. We will return but suggest a high capacity R/O filter. Other than this 1 issue, Kumori is a first class sushi restaurant.
