This review goes for both locations in Brownsville TX. Terrible service ! First time my order was wrong I didn’t check it outside the store so I didn’t get that one fixed. Decided to try again but this time I checked it before leaving and it was wrong yet again. When we told the employees they were visibly bothered to have to fix it. I decided to submit a complaint online. The location manager reached out and offered a free meal. I was not interested in going back to that location (alton gloor). I decided to try the Boca Chica location only to find they were an even hotter mess! This time I ordered on the app for curbside pick up. Ordered 2 items and both were wrong. When we went to the drive thru to let them know the employee was very annoyed as if it was my fault they didn’t make the order wrong. Finally got the food after waiting another 15 minutes only to find that they only removed the onions from the Birria quesadilla ordered and didn’t even attempt to fix the chicken taco they did wrong. All in all I would definitely not recommend. Avoid Pollo Loco !

First time my kiddos tried this place and they absolutely loved it, glad I brought them everything was on point, only downfall is they did not have that little salsa island in the middle like they used to do one can pick their own stuff as needed.Flavor as good as I remember that’s what matters!

Yes food is delicious ! The bad thing is this is the second time I have a short girl there take orders thru window n is very rude, either she's pissed at the world or just doesn't like her job, they need to put her I. the back, where we don't see jetas!Jesus!! Now the boy that charges, he's a different story, always so nice, very friendly , I just don't understand why they put rude people to take orders, you go there hungry n happy cuz you're getting Pollo Loco n you are welcome with someones crap. put someone that really wants to work in drive thru orders, n the ones with attitude at HOME!!!!!
Really recommend checking orders before leaving restaurant. No chips this time. Not the first time I've received an order with something missing. Also, lately service has been less than satisfactory. On the plus side, food is delicious however servings aren't even fully served. Small Mac and Cheese full only half ways. I mean, I am paying for the food....right?
I went yesterday at 10:10 pm to find out they had already closed the restaurant when their hours of operation say they close at 10:30pm. Nobody would answer drive thru and nobody would answer the restaurant phone, and there were employees inside. Ridiculous.

Food was delicious and feels much better for you then one of those fast food joints. Prices aren't too bad, a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
Don't know if it was a new crew or what happened but drive thru service was rude waited 28 minutes too long in my opinion for a simple 10 piece order. Had to get of my truck and asked what was going on to my surprise the crew member In charge told me they had forgotten about my order cause we're too busy taking care of dine in . Defeats the purpose of a drive thru. Anyways at least he apologized but won't be going back anytime soon
