Horribly disappointed in the Brownsville TX location. The chicken in the Pato Salad was cold, the pinto beans were cold and flavorless like a can of beans were opened and spooned into the shell, the flour tortilla shell was stale. The rice on the Flauta plate was refrigerator cold, guacamole was watery (explanation from waitress was the tomatoes were watery).The restaurant was not busy.
Went through drive order lane and ordered two Friday specials. Two patos plate with rice and beans. No one in front or behind. Got my order and went home. When I arrived I had completely different order. Fajita plate and chicharron plate. I didn’t feel like driving back for the correct order. The traffic has heavy so decided just to deal with it. Both meals were horrible. Fajitas were not well cooked and the chicharron plate was awful. How can they mess up an order so bad. Never again.
Ordered the fajita plate , and lunch taco plate and what a huge disappointment after waiting 20min i got the order and it didn't look very satisfying! Plates don't even look close to pictures on there menu. I received breakfast potatoes instead of rice on my plates, beans where cold and dry , fajita was hard and cold as well. I don't recommend this plates.paid $24 and not worth it! I felt cheated Ridiculous and nasty lunch plates a threw them away not eating it!
Never in my life have I had the worst service with El Pato until today!! Besides waiting for 30 mins in drive thru. I had to get off and get my food. Everything was already in bags and when I asked for my order th young lady who had attitude said ohh we still packing ur food we almost done all she did was put the utensils in the bag and gave me my food and she gave me empty cups and she I had to get my own drinks. I ordered throw drive thru aren't drinks suppose to be given in cup already or do all customers that order thru drive thru have to get off and get their own drinks. When I asked for a cup holder they said they didn't have any and for me to go to stripes and ask if they had any I'd I really wanted i one !! I had ordered a big order for my office. I asked the manager if she could give me the money back in the drinks and she stated she couldn't do that cuz we ordered online. Am very disappointed in today services. I have always been a loyal customer but because of this that's about to change. And my food was sooooo cold.
Very slow drive thru. Ordered the special but it took too long.
I ordered chicken fajitas online. After completion, the online service stated the order would be ready at 6. I got to the restaurant and they stated they were out of guacamole, which I had ordered and was also included with the meal I ordered. The Mgr stated he would refund me for that item. At 6:15 they asked me to pull to the front of the restaurant. I received the food at 6:25. Once I got home I found out they gave me the wrong meat. They didn't seem to busy as the counter help was just standing around. The food was good tasting, just not what I expected.
Good food at a good price. Service as always bee prompt and friendly which is important to me and a rarity these days.
Good food and nice clean dinning area. Took 30 minutes but the food was worth the wait. They should have at least one more person on staff. They looked overwhelmed for a bit.
Lack of etiquette. I went through the Drive thru—wasn’t acknowledged after a few minutes so I drove up to the window. There were several employees. Two saw me. One was wearing a headset. I stayed there waiting for anyone to come and ask if there was anything I needed and nothing.I was ignored. Very disappointing experience and a waste of a good 5-6 minutes of my life.
I ve been going to patos since I was in my 20's I'm now in my 50's. I use to love their tacos. Lately they are short staffed, the manager is cooking instead of taking care of issues or concerns. The egg is old and dry. You wait 40 minutes for tacos and the order is wrong and they look at you like if you are in the wrong. Not going there anymore. So sad. I really loved this place.
