Bad management and service all around. Save your money and go elsewhere. Name says it all- dirty. Cockroach by bench and showed the waitress. She just said it’s because our kids were eating on bench and the smell of food made the roach come out. You can just imagine what you don’t see behind kitchen doors. Fried fish and shrimp is bland. They give you small paper plates, don’t bring everything out at once so you are constantly asking for things which takes a while for them to bring (condiments, tortillas, other items ordered) and can’t enjoy the meal. Oh and don’t forget about the mandatory service charge for parties of 6 or more, regardless if everyone eats.

First time eating here 7/2/22 and not my last. Our waiter was training so I thought it was gonna be a disaster but he did great and his trainer did I good job of helping him with specials and specific items. Food was excellent and super tasty, the only reason for four stars was we never got refills the entire time we were there and the tables that got alcoholic drinks were catered to. Right before we left we were asked if we wanted refills and got some to go. Great service overall great food nice atmosphere, definitely coming back next time I’m in Brownsville

Good as always. One of my favorite places to eat besides there sister, brother Daddy's at the island. But back to what I ate got me the Freddie's broil my favorite and the a pound of the Cajun shrimp and the platter of 20 fried shrimp and fish yummy and ceviche which I hadn't tried it from there and it was the bomb ? strongly recommend it well everything and the Mexican cocktail my daughter got but I took a bit from her. ?

Dirty Al’s is what it is - it is Al’s, but it ain’t always dirty. Food portions are huge, and the quality is very good. The nets, tug boat ropes and large fish tanks add to the “islander shipwreck-type” ambience. Some of our fav plates are the Shrimp Cocktail, Boiled Shrimp, seafood stuffed jalapeños, shrimp and oysters are great, black drum throats are amazing. All of the fish such as drum, flounder, red snapper seem very fresh and usually cooked to perfection. The Bayou is probably my favorite, followed by The Almondy! My lady loves the Mussette!

Nice place to go with the family.. obviously they were hungry. Very well served dishes. And me well I love cheese cake. Yum!

Tried the Shrimp Etouffee and it was really good for being so far from Louisiana, will definitely be back for more ? ?

Great place to eat. Family friendly. It was my first time dinning here. I had a great experience. They serve locally made lemonade and it was refreshing. Our server gave us excellent service. One of my fried oysters did have shells in It. Our server was so kind about it and even asked the manager to talk to us about the meal. It’s unfortunate that the manger didn’t talk to us. Besides the shells, it was very good!! I would go back again.

Was a great experience great staff and awesome seafood definitely going back.

bad service.food without flavor.

For the price? Forget it.Look, I know seafood (and just about everything else) is expensive. I ordered a large fried oyster and shrimp dinner, along with a shrimp gumbo bread bowl. $30, and barely any meat with the oyster and shrimp, and the gumbo was missing the shrimp, but there was a huge amount of okra and it tasted okay, but again - no shrimp. The oysters tasted bland, but everything was cooked properly.I wanted to order some fish to compliment the shrimp and oysters. I asked what kind of fish it was. The hostess days said, "Bass, Catfish?" I said, "Which one is it? She replies, "Whitefish? I dunno - they didn't tell us in the back what it is".Folks, if the people who work here for a living don't know what the hell they serve at a seafood restaurant, you might want to reflect on whether or not you really want to come here. Just sayin'Guess that's why they put so much sauce in your order when you get it to go. Would have been nice if they included utensils was napkins, which they did not.The only thing that was redeeming about this order, was the bread bowl itself. Warm, fresh, buttered on the outside, with a tiny crisp to it. I could order the bread bowls by themselves every day, and be a happy man.But that's not what I came here for, and that's not what the sign says on the outside for the name. A damn shame, given how close they are to the gulf of Mexico, and knowing how cheap the shrimp is - even with inflation.
