Starters were good, waitstaff were friendly and tried hard.Menu was very complicated, I think confusing even for the wait staff.The good - Wait staff and starters were very good, boudain balls and fried pickles.The jumbo shrimp were cooked to perfection.The bad - main dishes, not so good, blackened catfish was mushy, not blackened and a little undercooked. Snapper had to be previously frozen and rubbery, maybe overcooked.Dirty rice tasted weird, and New Orleans crawfish toppings not good, crawfish tails tasted old and off.Kids chicken nuggets appeared to be store bought frozen nuggets, but they are kids, right?Meat dishes might be better, so willing to give it another go another day, maybe.Advice - simplify the menu, and don't freeze your seafood, when you run out, you run out.
I had dinner here with some friends when I was visiting from out of town. We had a large crowd, probably about 15 people. Linda was our waitress. She did a phenomenal job. The food was great. And with as many people as we had in our party, it didn't even take that long for all of us to get our food. I would highly recommend if you are in Brenham, Texas, to stop by and visit this restaurant.
We had a great dining experience. Our server took very good care of us... offering suggestions and overall giving great customer service. Our dinner was also very good. We enjoyed the snapper, fried fish and shrimp cocktail.
It was a nice place to visit. We had a group reservation of 45 but they weren't prepared...called ahead of time to alert the staff..they did okay...but food came out late...but expected what was expected due to a small town eatery and a large group. If your just passing through on a normal day...Service should be a 5 star. Taste of food was good once received. The ribeye was tasty and fried pickles......mmmmmm.....
Our food came out quickly and was delicious! Wonderful and very polite wait staff. Highly recommend...they have a really big selection of dishes on their menu.
Food is the bomb and I would have rated it 5 stars....however our waitress was good but we could hear the wait staff fussing....would not wanna be Marley. I live on the coast and the shrimp here are the best ever from everywhere. Our waitress was good but she was pretty aggravated about something work related.
Stopped in on our wat through town and definitely regret it! Both of our be ac la were sub-par with both cold vegetables and very over cooked meat! Definitely not worth the upset stomach that follows!

Pay cash. Wife and I stopped by on Sunday 9-Jan-22 as we were passing thru Brenham heading home to Houston from Caldwell. Paid with credit card. On my credit card statement the method was obviously "In Person". 11-Jan-22 there is another charge from Texas Seafood and Steak House for $9.43. Method this time is "Online, mail or phone". Definitely not by me. Next is a charge 11-Jan-22 for $499.99 from North Star Fuel. Again, not by me. Pretty obvious it's by the same theif. Someone working here is scamming credit cards. Beware.
