Great ambiance and friendly staff! The BBQ is delicious! I tried the two meat plate with brisket, ribs, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and cornbread! Also the sweat tea is thirst quenching! Let's just say we now have new favorite for our BBQ cravings when visiting our son at College!

Wow, what a wonderful place to eat and spend great times. As I arrived to Nathan's BBQ with my family, the owners explained to us the food choices and we proceeded to place our orders. All meats were wonderful, the sides were delicious, and the people who works there are nice and wonderful. All of this create a positive atmosphere that is hard to match.Surely, I will return to Nathan's next time I visit Brenham. Thanks again to the owners and all the marvelous people who work at Nathan's BBQ.

I ate here when I was visiting from out of town. I used to live in Brenham, but moved away 10 years ago. As soon as I saw Nathan's BBQ, I told my grandson we're definitely eating there before we leave town. I understand the restaurant has changed owners, but the food was still just as good.

Food was pretty good. They had run out of baked potatoes so had to go with my second choice. Lady at the register was a bit impatient.

My husband and I usually get our plates to go. We had a baked potato, sliced brisket sandwich, and two meat plate with ribs, sausage, broccoli salad and twice baked potato..the only thing that was any good was the PLAIN baked potato and the one slice home made bread on the two meat plate. The ribs NOR the sausage, I don't believe, had EVER seen the inside of a pit. In fact, the sausage was barely warmed in what ever method they used to cook it in. The ribs were tasteless but tender, but I don't believe they had been cooked in any kind of barbecue pit and said sausage had good flavor but no snap to the skin, no smoke ring, nor much of any sausage flavor or any good home made texture to the meat. Not far off from Eckrich sausage. The brisket had no smoke ring and could have been done in the oven. They also didn't have any desserts...thank goodness on our way out, we found two servings of banana pudding that were pretty good. We'll never be back, save your money, go up the road east to Chappell Hill or west to Truth. The ONLY thing that this place has going for it is a big parking lot, the gas station, and they are open til 8. Oh, and the twice baked were just warmed over and the broccoli salad while one of my favorites is never consistent.

I was so hungry that I didn’t take pictures. I was not very happy with the service. We were part of a wine tour and had very specific selections of baked potato, sandwich and a side or a meat with two side. First downfall - I went for the meat with a side because they were out of baked potatoes. Second downfall - it was very unclear of which meats we could get. Third downfall - the lady at the register. She was so rude to the other employees and to the people in front of me. Apparently you can’t have sloppy joes in the special and the staff member made sure you knew it. Very rude! The spicy sausage was pretty good, brisket was juicy and great, ribs were okay- too dry. Corn bread… delicious! Mac n Cheese was alright. The broccoli salad and green beans were pretty good. I would give this place a second chance but the lady at the register needs to go.

If you are visiting for the first time ordering is a little confusing. Luckily it was not very busy when we arrived. Had the bbq beef loaded potato. Was pretty good. Only one cashier for 2 lines so there was a little wait to pay as it was cafeteria style set up. Would probably go again if in the area.

I walked to order take-out. This was once the best BBQ in the area but as of tonight, I will NEVER go there again. The ribs (1/2 rack) were over salted and so dry the meat wasn't edible. The chicken (1/2) was the same way. The BBQ beans (1 pt.) tasted like canned beans (average but canned.) And the green beans (also 1 pt.) were just average and again, tasted canned. I was very disappointed. And with tax, this throwaway meal cost $45.90. I don't know their customer acquisition cost but after 13 years, this one is never going back.

Waited an hour in line to get food. Very good food, chopped brisket sandwich & pinto beans. Just not what I wanted. Out of the baked potatoes at 6:30pm. I'm sure the people that didn't show up for their jobs DO MOT REALIZE the trouble they cause, the management & the customers.

Good smoked meats and sides. The chopped beef sandwich was very tasty and very big. Twice baked potatoes and Mac and cheese are worth a look too.
