A highly atmospheric and lively place, much bigger on the inside than I thought. I waited in a snaking line inside that took about 15 mins. during peak lunch hours. I got a sandwhich and a pie and they were both absolutely delicious. If I'm ever in Brenham again, I absolutely intend to go back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through that's hungry.

Love their chicken salad sandwiches. They also have the best broccoli cheese soup! If you don’t like their food, there is something wrong with your taste buds! Lol!

Excellent food topped off with the best pie in the world! The stuffed Avocado with Pimento Cheese and the Broccoli salad is the best of the best! Go! You won't be disappointed! We eat here every time we visit Brenham!

The food was good but not spectacular, the atmosphere was laid back and fun. The best part was dessert, they have a great selection of pies. Friendly staff

You think that the food is awesome if you judge by the lunch line. In reality, they have a very inefficient ordering method where you order at the counter and wait there while your food is prepared. Meanwhile, the line keeps building up. I had a mediocre chicken and dumplings. I gave them three stars because their pies and bread pudding are very good.

Always the most delicious homemade pies, ice-cream and lunch! Always a fun place to stop on our trips..

We had a wonderful meal. Great broccoli cheese soup, Ruben sandwich, and my wife had the grill chicken salad. Then there was the ice cream cone to top it off. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

I mean, meh. I gave 2 stars because the food didn’t make me sick. We came in from Houston and the moment we walked in (it was busy), the vibe was off. The patrons, who I assume were locals, were giving us the stares- I thought it was my imagination, but my friend independently mentioned it after we left. The lady taking the orders, was a cute blonde, but her attitude sucked and she just seemed generally annoyed. Food was fine, I guess, but nothing exceptional. The building and decor are super cute. Too bad the locals aren’t a bit more welcoming. The general vibe was grouchy. The whole experience felt like a scene out of footloose.?. Small town religious, old folk, lacking a funny bone. And I’m in my mid 40’s, so I’m not a young’n. Adorable town, though.
